This is a followup to a previous post I made 18 days ago about this bug.
For kicks and giggles, I did some further testing to narrow down the criteria / requirements for this to happen as well as establish the upper limit of how much charge Ashe can get like this.
- This requires BOTH “Out With a Bang” AND “Bob Jr.” to trigger
- This is replicable on Place Lacroix, Colosseo, and Redwood Dam (these are the only maps that have spawn rooms with sections not covered by the healfield)
- Ashe can get 30% ult charge in the spawn area before the round starts if a player is fast enough (and yes, I have screenshots to prove it)
Side note: during the testing, I also managed to find out that Junkrat can fire speed-boosted projectiles from the upper spawn room on Colosseo clear into the other team’s lower spawn room if he has the blue item that triggers projectile speed increases on ability use.
A quick and easy solution to this would be to edit the Stadium versions of these maps to cover the entire spawn area in healing fields. This would prevent damage, both self-and-externally inflicted, and thus prevent ult charge from being obtainable before the round starts.
It’s also viable to simply set everyone’s ultimate charge to 0% three seconds before the start of the round. This would prevent the lion’s share of this kind of thing, but crafty Ashe players would still be able to trigger a single explosion after that and pick up 3% - 6% ult charge.
I’m not the only one who’s seeing this kind of thing, Blizz. If I’ve been able to narrow it down and figure it out for your devs, awesome, glad to help, but there ain’t no way I’m the only one who knows how to do this - I’m just the only one telling you so you can get it fixed.
