Stacking should be bannable

there is no reason stacking should be allowed or encouraged when blizzard refuses to accomodate solo queue players. players who arent good enough to win solo shouldnt be allowed to be boosted by stacking.

im to the point where Smurff stacking is an auto dodge for the lobby, and if I have to play against it. Its pretty much one of those things I have to go… “um” ok?!

Shouldn’t be bannable at all, reportable? Maybe

Also the up and coming competitive update will literally solve this issue

We’ve asked for solo queue only way back when, we just assumed that they wouldn’t give it to us because it would become apparent that the number of players wasn’t that high.

so just so we’re clear…you guys are saying that groups should only play with groups…

so who do 4 stacks plays with? or two 2 stacks?

and what do you think queue times look like when the mm has to limit itself like that

Reportable and bannable are the same things

Stacking…like playing on a group? This is a team-based game that’s better with friends. I play comp solo because I have to due to my rank, but I’d rather play with friends any day.

At least make it like OW1 where you can see people who are grouped in QP, so I can leave if I’m going against a 6 stack. If you want to play with an advantage, you should only be getting queued against others stacked as well. Or, just make a solo queue and a group queue.

This is the most moronic suggestion I’ve seen yet so you’re telling me I should be banned for playing with my friends? Thats just stupid and would make the game less social then what it already is BAD TAKE
I will say while my friends are lower than me in comp they arnt bad by any means and they do learn alot from playing with me and against players higher than them

The matchmaker does heavily prioritize group size. 5 stacks almost exclusively go up against other 5 stacks. It’s why my group of 5 will frequently get the exact same team 3 matches in a row.

I want this back so very much. :frowning: Blizzard plz, I need to know who else to report when there’s a cheater in the lobby or if I can get away with using only one avoid slot to dodge a toxic group.

Blizzard will never ever accommodate solo players. Also, the matchmaker supposedly setting 5 stacks against 5 stacks is an outright lie by the developers. I mostly stick to Open Queue which has a smaller player pool and consistently see 5 stacks down to 3 stacks matching against an entire team of solo players. This is why I’m worried about Competitive 3.0 changes allowing such a large skill gap in groups.

I don’t know if they still do it, but back when I played League of Legends they had separate competitive queues for stacks and solo/duo.

I question whether a “stack” queue would have enough people in it to work though.

Screw it, let’s just ban everyone.

This entire thread is just one giant facepalm. :man_facepalming:

You know that playing in a stack is more difficult and competitive than if you play just solo queue against other solo queuers? Unless you mean someone stacking with a smurf.

eitherway. the handling of stacks and solo Q players is why this game flatout is bad.

This has been a blizzard problem since World of Warcraft and battlegrounds. premades vs Solos and in almost 20 years they have never learned it doesn’t work.

its kinda sad though, because this game is good. they just chose to throw it in the bin with the soil. and it makes no sense.

dont let people 4 stack… ya know like valorant does

I’d rather take a 10 minute wait time for a good game than spend even 1 minute in another stompfest BS match. The last couple of weeks now have been absolute unenjoyable trainwreck. I’ve not seen so many absolutely dreadful stomp matches in any other game in last 20 years. Sure they happen sometimes, here it’s literally the norm. And years ago it was NOWHERE near this bad. Not even remotely.

SoloQ where you at?
