Does no one else find it stupid how a 2 stack or a solo queue player can face a 6 stack??? as a solo queue player I just went up against a 6 stack of smurfs who rolled us, its just the product of trash matchmaking and its not fair on solo players. the argument of “it shouldn’t matter if you’re all communicating” is bs, half of the time people don’t join voice and it’s just not the same as playing with someone you know.
Inevitable if you allow players to group queue.
I used to like versing 6-stacks because I found it was usually an easy win, obviously now I have no idea in role queue but still
Today I’ve gone up against 5 stacks of Smurf’s 3 times…
Well the matchmaker tries it best to match you with a solo player lobby though there just aren’t enough people near your SR to match you with.
Also, what rank do you play in?
High diamond low masters
Yeah and you’re complaining about smurfs, sure sure.
Stacks clearly have an advantage there, though the chance of you getting a match of solo players against solo players in that ranking is lower due to the amount of players.
I doubt they all were smurfs and 5 or 6 stacks are rather rare. To build 6 stack vs 6 stack matches would mean like 15h queue time and with 4 or 5 stacks you need to fill in solo or duo queues.
And if you point it out then its “mad cuz bad lmao” comments from 14 year old half-savages are sure to follow…
Blizzard claims statistically it doesn’t matter, which is probably true. OTOH, nothing stops a well-coordinate team and quite honestly that’s how the game is supposed to work.
The problem here is Blizz never instituted an in-game “Team” system like Guild’s. This would have reduced toxicity, allowed players of different tiers to at least learn from each other, and led more naturally into an appreciate of OWL. That we are headed into OW 2 without any sign of a Team/Guild system is a crime.
I don’t find you stupid. I think it makes perfect sense.
It’s not fair. Someone playing solo should never be matched up against with anyone more than 2+.
So, Blizzard has stated the match-maker does its best to find equal stacks… the problem just becomes one sometimes of availability and therefore stacks against randos is inevitable. Get a stack on voice that plays regularly together against six randos, its most likely a roll.
If you’re a 6 stack, you’ll likely go against another 6 stack…if not, then a 4+2, 5+1, or 3+3, etc etc.
That’s how I see how it works for the most part.
Regardless, grouped teams don’t automatically = win for them contrary to what some people believe here.
Was it open queue? If so, that mode has a much smaller player base, which means six-stacks have to be matched with somebody. If it was role queue, how do you know they were stacked?
It’s still usually a free win. A group of six players are less likely to be of the same skill as their teammates than a team of six random players matched together by SR. Five- or six-stacks almost never win in my experience. This isn’t the kind of game where someone can carry a group of worse players unless they’re WAY out of their SR, like a GM playing in silver. Around diamond and masters, where OP says they play, smurfs don’t mean much.
It was role queue…
A 6 stack of people who should be higher rated is an issue. But normally when a 6 stack at their actual rating faces solos and duo, the 6 stack is significantly lower sr. It’s why so few people do 6 stack in this game, it makes their matches much harder as they face better players.
I don’t care about normal 6 stacks I care about low life Smurf’s who buy alt accounts to roll lower players.
That’s why I asked. You can’t see who’s stacked in role queue.
Yes, we all know smurfs are a problem. Just like in every pvp game.
I can tell when they all leave at the same time and admit to stacking
