SR System needs to be removed from this game entirely (Angry) we're done with season comps for this game

ok so I would share what I have written out over on my Facebook page as of

(Last Night)

but I was so mad and angry after what has happened during Me, My Wife’s and a few our friend’s Placement Matches that is was unreal

here is my Facebook statement (Edited For Overwatch Game Forums)

we’re Down with Overwatch Comp Season Ranks

we got screwed over in Match 4 that we did win

but the game counted as a Lost

how does that even happen Blizzard

so much for trying to get into Grand Masters or Diamond

the rest of games we lost due to careless players and non-team communication as normal when it comes to comp play

forget trying to reach 3k for a Golden Weapon Design Skin For Mercy at this point

we have had it with this non-sense

why did I make this post in the first place

well let’s see about 2/3 weeks we were playing Season 10 Comp play and we did win 4 of our placement games

I remember this because someone sends me a voice message on PSN getting mad and upset with us for going on a 4-0 winning strike Voice chat message was sent on 6/11/2018

so after the Anniversary update patch ended and a new update was released on the 12/13th for PSN (something had to go wrong on server client in the game)

because during season 4-9 we have never had a problem like with what has happened I’m not worried about rank placements I’m just angry at the fact that the 3 of us get screwed over extremely hard by the damn System that you call this SR non-sense Remove it from this game

that SR system is screwing the whole matchmaker

Gave us True Skill Matchmaking system (a real dedication one)

or gave us a Rank Matchmakers separate from Comp’s matchmaker

Skill Levels (not player profile levels)

Rank Levels

have Bronz one match up against only Bronze players

Slivers only against other Slivers

and so on

outside of Comp seasons

this why I’d stop playing Season placements cause it is unfair matchmakers untrue and can’t find appropriate rank players

and some team players are just to arrogant

explain to me

how I’m playing as Mercy (like I always do) in Team Voice Channel telling a team member who is not in our group to switch from an Ana for Mercy’s Sake I’m not kidding I’m being serious

3 games lost in placements all because of that problem

4th game was lost because I made a wrong call out on control point

it happens so I will admit and own up to it

but the 3 games we did lose is because I asked Ana to place either switch to a Reinhart or Brigitte

but I got the usual normal treatment when I ask kindly for someone on my team (if I’m not in 3’s or2’s Groups) with friends

I get ignored or muted

or

I got trolled or someone says inappropriate harassment things

we through that Overwatch was a Team Base Game Cooperative game

to us, it’s something entirely different

so much for a hostile environment!

Toxicity Ruin Everything it did not matter what game is being played!

Quan And Mercy will not be participating in any future season competition Play for Ranks

until there is a huge improvement

We’re out of here!

Orrrrr you can just stop playing Comp like i did. The game is too broken and unbalanced to be made competitive.

I play OW to have fun/kill time. Comp makes me hate the game.

I have no idea what I just read but the one thing I was able to take away is, you don’t know how placements work. Win/loss ratio has no bearing where you place, it’s all about performance.

Performance-based SR is broken, though. Whatever system is in place right now tends to try to keep people at whatever level they are currently at, unless they dramatically out-perform their teammates at that rank. Such a system tends to very easily allow people to drop, while disallowing people to climb the little bit to get to whatever rank they really deserve. For instance, a Silver player that belongs in Gold will be very, very hard-pressed to climb. It’s even harder for a Plat that belongs in Diamond.

That exact same thing happened to me when I finally broke into Diamond a few seasons back. Haven’t been able to do it since.

note to the OP: if you are going to write anything please organize your thoughts better. You keep jumping back and forth between things and its very hard to follow the flow of your writing.

I just wanted to hit diamond and never play comp again hahaha. I hate comp. Putting off my placement games this time since it’ll likely be even more difficult for me to grind it this season. Aint easy being a tank main rn

It seems that you believe the most common reason for your losses is that other people won’t switch to the heroes you tell them to. It also seems like you don’t understand how placement matches or the SR system works in general.

Am I the only one who thinks the SR system has been more forgiving than in the past?

Before I took my 2 month break, I did my placements (2 seasons ago) and got the highest rank I ever had. I took a 2 month hiatus, came back, did my placements and got placed even higher than than that time.

I think the SR system has gotten more lenient…

I had no problem climbing from gold to diamond. Sounds like a personal problem.

Believe me it isn’t. And frankly the “git gud” argument (that’s essentially what they all boil down to) doesn’t work anymore. I’ve gotten to a point where every game I play, regardless of how well I do or how much I try to shot-call and how much I try to direct the team as nicely as possible, just about every game is full of complete morons. The type that forget a hero even exists the minute they leave their immediate field of view. The type that try impossible forward holds and that try to trickle into the objective. The type that ignores cries of “flanker on healers!” repeatedly in favor of farming ult off the enemy tanks.

Tell me that’s somehow my fault. Go ahead, try.

All about performers you say well can you explain what happened with what I wrote because you do not understand our frustration about the Sr system should be handled

I was performing with my Main Mercy for the first 4 games and we won all four with no issues

So Again Can You Please Tell Me

I’m not saying that it’s your fault, I’m saying none of that matters, it’s about personal performance. At least in placements, after that it’s a bit more complicated and once you hit diamond then that stuff matters a lot, but before that, you might as well just play for yourself

No I cannot tell you because I honestly cannot make much sense of what you said in your OP. All I can tell us that you were upset that you lost some placement matches and you blame that for you bring ranked low. But that’s not how placements work, it’s based off performance, not win loss.

Mate chill isn’t it a bit too optimistic to be thinking about GM when you’re still bronze? Like no offense but you should really look into getting to silver first and managing to hold the rank

maybe to you, it’s not too Optimistic

but to us (Me and My Wife) and 2 of our friends that were playing with us at the time

it is a big deal and very optimistic if you’re always getting placed in the low ranks after every season of Placement (Bronze) Levels

due to poor team play

me and my wife has both place in Sliver one time ever since we brought the game back in December

and that was in Season 4 or 5 before Mercy get Nerf to death

ever since then, we’ve been place in bronze for Season 5 6 7 8 9 and now 10

we really wanted to at least try and get all 10 wons in placements

and don’t tell us it’s not possible because we have seen it happen in season 1-5

the hero did not matter who you play with

you just has to have common sense and help people on your team will cooperate with you (on Voice Channel)

We are Mercy Mains over here

and the thing that gets us angry is when a D’va or Junkrat thinks there playing Call Of Duty over here

instead of following the Healer’s instructions

Well, it’s bronze, don’t worry about team comp too much and just try carrying your way out of it.
Winning all placements is very hard for all ranks, but placements are basically a cheat, they hardly change anything

this part i agree with. im not a fan of diamonds grouping up with thier bronze buddies to pubstomp in a gold match becuase their average sr is within the range …i also would like to be a difference between high golds and low golds as well as high plats and low plats.
