What would make you happier?
Both are needed because competitive is nothing but frustrating now but what fixes that?
I think the problem is our expectation and because we don’t get that promised balance we become mad or some even toxic but a game isn’t fun if everyone is negative and its even worse in a team game like Overwatch.
If SR or MMR were resetted we would get “chaos” so its said but isn’t that exactly what we had in Season 1 and 2? Every day one player will tell you those were golden times and I agree even console was fun at that time.
Maybe we don’t need all that fancy matchmaking behind the scenes if its only making us angry.
The other option is the exact oposite. Personally I want to have higher ecpectations and role queue would allow just that. But what if it fails again? Just like endorsements and the report system did. You can see that Blizzard tries with all the neat little features and balance changes but it just doesn’t work so maybe its time for some drastic changes.
Bring role queue already or just screw the MM already but something has to be done.
I dont know about you, but I dont want a T500 on the enemy team with bronze players on my team.
why is sr reset needed? the only thing that would happen is bronze and GM being matched together for a month or two, and then after that it would look the same as before
and role queue is not needed + we already have role queue in the form of LFG.
Fortunately the people who develop this game don’t agree with you.
LFG doesn’t help getting people in roles who do not know how to play them, you still end up with DPS players filling support/tank because there are no groups with DPS slots open.
You check their profile, it’s private - please open your profile. You wait they refuse you kick them they rejoin x99 until your group gets tired of this and disbands.

You check their profile they played tank in the first 2 seasons but the last 13 have been all widowmaker but they swear they know what they are doing
In all of the above situations you might get a great tank/support/whatever but you have no idea. This is one of a few reasons why LFG is just as crap an experience as soloQ often times it can be worse when you end up matched against a 6 stack of people who actually have known eachother for more than 5 minutes.
SoloQ needs a roleQ to ensure when you get a team everyone on that team is able to play the role they are in and more importantly it’s what they want to be doing so they don’t turn into little toxic children.
Remember all those accounts banned for hacking. The one time they made a big deal about it.
Well they carried a lot of people to wins they shouldn’t have. They skewed a lot of placements.
Why are people so scared of a MMR reset? Afraid you won’t get fortunate teams this time?
Anyone who is good could care less if they reset. And they should after 14 garbage seasons.
If it means that ranked is fun again I don’t mind losing against a Top 500 player or two. Who gives a damn about SR its all about fun because right now its boring to win/frustrating to lose. I’m already playing quickplay with friends 90% of the time and its also meh. No wonder players move to Apex (not that I ever played it).
