I’m new to competitive, so maybe I just don’t understand how this all works. But I did my placement matches, placed at 1803. Played one more game, won 6-0 and my SR went down to 1799. I know, it’s only 4 points, but why is it going down at all after a win?
This is a bug. When there is a leaver in a game, a red notice appears saying that it is not safe to leave yet. After that red notice disappears, the implication is that it is safe to leave. That implication is a lie. In the following game, you get an extra loss of SR out of nowhere. Never leave games, even if the game says that it is safe to do so.

That’s absurd, especially considering that a notice came up after someone left the game saying due to someone leaving, the game would end in 10 seconds and then did. I didn’t leave the game of my own accord, but everyone was forced out after the leavers (was a group of 2 from the opponents team) left. Are all participants really getting penalized for something outside their control?
Its a bug out of anyones control in you case. Doesnt happen to often fortunately
Your case looks a bit different than I described, but it is likely a related bug. I have no idea why this bug hasn’t been fixed yet.
Well, that’s a bit discouraging. I’ve heard that a lot of people are trolling in comp this season (already) and leaving to cause other people to lose SR. With that going on, it’s really crappy that this bug is happening to further deter people from playing comp. Thanks for the information, though.
