I cancelled a search for comp tonight after accidentally starting it. It found a game at the exact instant that I clicked on the “CANCEL SEARCH” button. I pressed “CANCEL SEARCH” within 1-2s of launching a search for game. After the message saying a game was found had vanished, where it normally transitions you to the match and map, I was left at the menu screen instead.
I thought it was weird, so I checked my SR. My SR has been docked 50 for leaving.
My groupmate was launched into the game and could see my vacant position. My game options were as if I was not involved in a current game (eg. the top menu option was “PLAY” not “REJOIN MATCH”).
Aside. This capped off a wonderful losing streak. Yay.
