Squelch chat mutes voice-lines!

If you feel bothered by someone spamming voice-lines, open up the menu that displays the voice channels, right-click the person who’s spamming and select ‘‘squelch chat’’.

Squelch chat mutes the voice-lines of a person of your choice. I’m unsure if it mutes things such as ‘‘I need healing’’ or ‘‘My ultimate is charging’’ commands, but it does mute purchasable voice-lines, such as Doomfist’s ‘‘And they say chivalry is dead’’ and Junkrat’s ‘‘BRRRRRING’’.

Console may not have this feature, i don’t know. But for PC players; you have an option to combat VL spammers if they annoy you.

It does mute ALL voicelines, which I am totally fine with. People who spam cosmetic voicelines aren’t using “group up” or w/e anyway, and the ones that do spam it, making it hard to take them seriously and hear other people.

If you spam “I need healing!” I will squelch you.

If you are spamming voicelines during the game I will mute you. Its not even that I find it THAT annoying, though it is sometimes overdone, but its that sound is just too important in OW to have it wasted on pointless spam.

It works on “I need healing” but it doesn’t remove the text from showing up so you can still see that someone is angry with you.
