Ok so let’s start off
Bans - Huge W - thanks for letting us sort out broken hero’s. Wish we had seen how they are voted for.
Map voting - W - have wanted this for ages amazing, flashpoint get in the bin.
Perks - W/L - not sure about these, but being able to build a hero to counter another without having to swap entire hero is a lot better
Stadium - L - sorry but this looks too complicated and doesn’t fit Overwatch. Just looks like you are taking stuff that was meant for PvE and trying to put it into a new mode. I’ll try it out but I suspect it will just be boring and doesn’t contain the whole roster either.
Lootboxes - W - free stuff is always welcomed
Skins - L - same collab again? Probably because other brands aren’t interested in guessing.
New Hero - W - looks fun, I love Ashe so suspect she might be similar.
I’m hoping that bans/votes come in for S15, waiting until April for these things will be too long.

Why is Stadium an L? Its a sidemode, so it doesn’t subtract from anything.
New hero is kind of an L because its not a support or tank. But she does look cool. And funnily enough, just yesterday, I was thinking “what if OW added a crossbow hero?”, and then they reveal one today.

I’m just worried about that Bola ability. DPS and supports have steadily gained more and more crowd control since OW2 launched. This looks like a big one

I like most of what they presented, so I’m actually happy.
Perks look fun, stadium is essentially Junkensteins lab with more control over skills, loot boxes for are back, new maps, updated maps, and the new heroes look interesting.
Everything else I’m neutral about.
Plus there’s unannounced changes.
I would have loved to hear about PvE, but they specified that the spotlight was about PvP, so I cant complain. Hopefully the unannounced changes will include either the old pve or new ones.
In terms of announcements I’m satisfied overall, so hopefully they can stick the anding.

for me, an ow2 cynic, especially since rivals launched the spotlight is an absolute w.
the stadium mode looks like the perfect ultimate arcade mode and it gives them a reason to apply what they planned for pve. so im excited for it.
i just love that they finally show they can put in effort to make this game as big as it can be.
i think perks are great. not too worried about balance. balance is not what makes the game fun.

I like seeing new heroes but disappointed that only 2 were shown and one being a concept art
W cleanse on grip L you’re definitely taking the same perks on LW every game lol
I’m guessing Uppercut will be one of Doom’s perks.
Has all the perks been show for characters?
Perhaps a more Moba style customization focused mode makes zero sense in a game where Supports and Tanks are already spread thin.

No. This was one of the things I was actually looking forward to as it provides a massive set of actual content to spend my time learning.
I hope this one stays around because I can see how this very easily gets transformed into a PvE template.
It looks like Widowmaker with brown hair. What’s worse is that she’s a combination of Sojourn and Pharah/Echo. Next hero after that is another Chinese character instead of a character from a country that hasn’t had any representation yet.
It’d be an L because it takes away resources from something else that could’ve been better, or more resources focused on the main game.
Not saying it is bad, I haven’t played it so I don’t know, just saying why it would be if it is bad.

I agree with you about this mostly. Except skins because I am liking the D.Va mythic.
Stadium looks like the worst thing to ever happen to the game aside from maybe capture the flag. It’s way too MOBA for me and I have absolutely no interest in playing it.
At least Stadium looks like it’ll be an arcade mode so I think we won’t have to play it. Of it becomes a core mode like push, escort, KOTH, etc then I’ll absolutely either quit the game or leave every single match it comes up.
I’m also not a fan of perks. I think that is a terrible idea. And I’m actually not happy about it. But pretty much everything else I’m on board with.

What “something else” exactly? Stadium is a something else.
Something else that OP presumably sees as “not fun” or “not worth playing”. And as such it’d be wasted resources.
Opportunity cost, basically.
