Symmetra outdoes him skin wise and people still ask for skins even though she literally just got one, it’s not outlandish that I as a Genji player would like a skin after a YEAR of waiting…

Not counting events or owl, he only has 15 skins, meanwhile someone like McCree has 19

Here’s what I don’t understand. Why make Reaper Lu Bu, and not Genji? If you ever play the Dynasty Warrior games, there’s a running joke of “do not pursue Lu Bu”. This fits perfectly for Genji. Reaper? Eh, not so much. Lol.

And for those curious, yes. You do NOT want to pursue Lu Bu for any reason… Unless, you have some major level and gear advantage. And even then, he can destroy you.

Reaper is death, you don’t go looking for death.

Liu Bei is a dual sword user, so he seems to fit Genji a lot more (personality wise and looks wise)

Zhou Tai is also a Genji candidate but I’m unsure.

No she doesn’t. Genji has 9 legendaries, while Symmetra has 8. They both have 2 special epic skins.
Maybe you’re specifically talking about event skins, but you replied to the original comment that was about skins for Genji in general, it didn’t say anything about events.

Edit: Oops I forgot one, Symmetra has 3 special epic skins, forgot her BlizzardWorld skin. That would mean they have an equal amount of skins. Yet, Genji has one more legendary skin.

I think a Red Hare Skins for Orisa could happen!

Then again, the only real similarity would be that Red Hare was a horse…that was given to Lu Bu in an attempt to persuade him to murder his foster father and defect to Dong Zhou

Dynasty Warriors =/= Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

That is Koei’s representation of the people, based to some extent of historic descriptions/drawing; not what they looked like.

Using that Liu Bei would basically be plagerizing Koei.

Yep, I’m amazed that people don’t get that. Even the Hanzo skin is pushing it, Koei exaggerated his age relative to the rest of the cast.

Saying a character had some specific weapon is almost always going to be absurd, only a few characters had specific weapons mentioned in the book (Guan Yu being one).

And yet all the models are almost direct copies of the DW heroes, the most unique being Reaper but that’s because they had to add a mask.

I have new arguments

Have you see they’re every events two new skin for boy minimum and two new skin for girl minimum
The next possible skin is the last chance for Genji if that’s for a Boy. Me I believe not he get a new skin because I think the 3 last skin it’s for girl, they have a lot of girl who need absolutly ( Tracer , Orisa, Brigitte and Ashe) . Ashe is sure to get one

And to watch girl who of girl most need new skin is Brigitte and Orisa

I see too , since Doomfist, he give to new character two skin before her first anniversary and the first anniversary of Brigitte is after this events.

I think they haven’t another skin for character who have already 1 skin of this events. That’s already dead for Mercy Widow Zarya Dva Pharah Mei

  • Brigitte 1 skin , Last at Anniversary

Well it really doesn’t seem like they’re using historical representations of them and more using what Koei’s representation is as a template and “modernizing” it into the Overwatch universe.
