Who cares if the dev stream they overly talked about Sojourn’s ethnicity. If you aren’t interested in that, brush off and go do something else.
YOU WILL GET SOJOURN GAMEPLAY AND ABILITIES SHOWCASE EVENTUALLY.
The devs are trying to reach out, maybe not in the way you’d expect, but maybe they aren’t ready to reveal gameplay, for whatever reason. Any normal human that isn’t a spoiled child, when others offer something for free, has either a NEUTRAL or POSITIVE reaction.
But I guess man children are so entitled that they feel obliged to give a negative reaction to a FREE dev stream that nobody forces you to watch.
they gave us recolours of skins, made objectively poor balance decisions and maps for unpopulated modes, my bad for not being grateful for the bare minimum.
let me ask you this, who asked for overwatch 2? they ruined overwatch one, threw away a great opportunity and wanted to start over. so they did. its not something you should be glorifying.
everything they promised? that’s actually hilarious my man.
no there isn’t, no reason to show this off can have to do with several things, like various legal NDAs, something being still WIP, them still fine-tuning numbers as well as marketing things like them not wanting people to cry that “DPS get all the love” and such.
OW is basically a F2P game, the hours-per-dollar you get by buying it, is one of the highest value games on the market. Find another game that for $20 you can literally play for 1000s of hours and not get bored. I dare you.
devs reaching out = benefits them and being selfish.
devs silent = toxic.
You just can’t please some people.
I didn’t watch the stream because I don’t care about the lore, I belong to the category of “interested only in the gameplay” but I don’t make a fuss about it.
I mean, there’s a lot. Really any multiplayer or single player game can be enjoyed for 1000s of hours provided the person playing finds it fun enough. But there’s certainly a lot more potential for that in games with more content creation tools and modding capability, like Minecraft, Garry’s Mod, Skyrim, TF2, etc
NDAs really arent a reason. the company doing the stream is also the company in charge of the NDAs.
something still being a work in progress 10 days before a soft launch is one of the things to be worried about you gimp.
dps getting all the love is better than literally no one getting any.
except that it isnt.
at launch I would have agreed with you. after 2 years of literally 0 content, that just feels disingenuous at best.
devs halfassed attempt to make up to the community for all the bs they have put us through is benefiting them and only them.
devs being silient is just work as usual.
assuming people bought the game at launch.
i mean, it literally is though.
a 2.0 update that should have just been rolled out gradually like it was initially.
after 2 years of nothing, yes.
yeah… that’s literally exactly it. I don’t agree with the objectively poor decision to try to save a dying game with a redefined sequel.
you’re god damn right im entitled. as is everyone else that payed for the game believing we’d get something we didn’t.
i just like how negative feedback is heavily frowned upon. especially if its constructive criticism. insults that attack the devs personal lives is something to not consider obviously, however discussing on the direction, choices, and actions they make on this game is completely justified. if yall just want people to shut up and say nothing, and just hear nothing but positive things about the game, the game will not grow and it will just produce more friction among the community and devs.
