Most maps have spawn killing often does anyone think overwatch will do anything about it? I hate the matches where someone claims the objective then spawn kills the team constantly til they win easily now if i had a method to completly make it happen less here is what i think should happen in spawn you should be immune to damage ults but you can damage the other team some maps the objective would be moved so it’s not near either spawn for easy kills in their spawn if this was a thing would it help?
I think the tradeoff is that it takes one person on the other team to die to put the entire team at a huge disadvantage.
Dorado is the worst by far. I’ve been both attack and defense where the cart hasn’t made it past the first corner because of spawn camping. Even if you do get 1st point you then get spawn camped in 2nd attack spawn. The games are pretty miserable. JTown is also pretty bad with Rein stuffing their shield in spawn but usually it can be broken. And Eichenwald 1st and 2nd are also bad for it. Even GMs are getting stuck in 2nd on Eichenwald as I’ve found on their streams.
It’s mostly the old maps that have the problem, although Circuit can be pretty bad too. It is way worse than it ever was in OW1. I’m leaving a lot more QP games than I ever did before because of spawn camping.
It happens because the matchmaking is garbage.
The spawn area already gives tons of advantages alone.
It happens because these maps wernt designed for 5v5
I won’t argue skill or who gets the advantage in spawn killing. I don’t really care. My general view is, spawn killing is a duck move. Some people wait 20 minutes for a game. Let them leave spawn.
I don’t know if Blizzard could even implement something to remove it. Probably not.
According to you OP how should casual matches be played?
I think matches should have more users with voice chat so you can call out if you see someone spawn killing would be impossible and each team plays in a strategic manner whoever outsmarts them could break the tide of the game putting them at an advantage or disadvantage
I feel like instead of not taking damage there should be some sort of barrier that stops you and the enemy team from getting to close to the opposite spawn room because getting spawn killed is the worst thing ever
I joined several ongoing games where the enemy team was essentially spawn camping. And each time, I just picked Junkrat and burst elim all their squishies.
What’s there to do about it? It’s a legit strategy.
