South American Servers are lagging (again)

There are a lot of packet losses, ping at +140ms, and I had two disconnections today.

Unfortunately, one-on-one connection troubleshooting ended, but there’s a self-help support doc. All connection issues should be worked on with your network admin or ISP.

Nicole, when people from B Razil to Chile are saying the servers are the problem, maybe, just maybe, it’s not me or my ISP, but actually the servers.

What’s more likely: That some servers are having issues, or that an entire continent is wrong…?

We both know the answers. Feel free to post the scripted excuse, just make sure this reaches someone that can at least try to do something about the servers, 'cause we’ve been getting some awful stuff and disconnects and undeserved punishments and timeouts, and it’s been awful.

there is no one who this message can reach, the troubleshooting team got fired last year afaik, so, thats why all bugs and issues have been taking ages to get fixed, i assume thats also what caused the prolongued periods of server instability too

There’s no reason to take such a snarky tone towards me as I’m merely relaying information about Blizzard’s policies and helping bring your expectations about what the forum has to offer closer to the current reality.

You can only reach fellow players here in the troubleshooting forum. Blizzard changed their policies almost two years ago and all of the tech agents who were in the forums were either reassigned or moved on from the company. The only connection assistance Blizzard offers is the self-help steps I linked above. They don’t review connection test data or reach out to ISPs anymore.

As someone who worked in telecom/internet for over a decade, I’ll be really candid with you: it is more likely that an ISP or routing peer is experiencing a connection problem rather than Google’s datacenters where the game servers are hosted. Most continents only have two to four routing peers that all ISPs share, with exception to North America.

Edit:

The developers have a team monitoring Bug Report for game issues, but connection issues don’t fall under that umbrella.

Just chipping in to say the issue with servers is something that has been going on for years at this point. ord1 is not a server that should allow South American players, period. Not sure what are the steps Blizzard could take to fix this, but it is by far the biggest problem the game is suffering from right now in the region, to the point many people I know have stopped playing because of it during OW1 times.

Aaron: It’s okay, take this perk. We love you all.

Btw, facing the same issue with Asia server.

servers have been disconnecting and having issues for seasons.

They have not cared or acknowledge about this issue at all
