Sound for enemy being eliminated not playing during assists

Just played a genji match and i didnt get the elim sound when i got an assist which threw me off when dash resetting

+1 for this. no elimination sound unless i get the final blow. I still get the notification “eliminated [playername]” in center of screen but no sound. Edited to add: this seems to be regardless of what hero i’m playing although I’ve not tested every hero.

Same, and it’s not just a PC, problem I’m a PS4 player(hate on me for playing on console all you want, I don’t have a good PC so I can’t play PC games)

same issue here, very annoying, because the game feels different and incomplete now :frowning: hope they will fix it fast. Have no sounds for assist kills and sometimes even not for kills.

I did see Blizzard fixed some bugs with Quick Melee kills in the kill feed with the most recent patch, so maybe one of those fixes unintentionally caused this bug… idk

Same with moira and tracer, really confusing I cant even play, no assist bing, really throws you off

Yups same. And with me (I wonder if you guys have that too), the kill sound also sometimes randomly plays during fights while the red kill text doesn’t popup (could have been that I’m not paying attention but I’m pretty sure it happens).

haven’t noticed this myself, you sure it’s not the sound of stuff like turrets/junk traps you’re destroying? because the sound notification does still play for those.

Same for me. I also now get elim sound queue when a shield is broken, for some reason.

Is there any workarround or something? I can´t Play like that. It feels very broken? Is this issue apearing at all Players or are there only a few which have this issue?

Yes I’m sure and I found what it is: the sound plays when you destroy a shield lols

I watched some streamers on Twitch and they have the same issue. Makes me think it’s intentional as part of the new patch and not actually a bug… WTF Blizz?
