Sorry I failed I can't take it anymore

I quit; I tap out I’m done. I’m sorry Octo for not hitting plat. I just am not good enough. I can’t carry bad teams and I seem to not be able to understand Overwatch. I’m too stupid. I ask for help and all the “help” ignore me. I’m also quitting WoW. I just can’t play Blizzard games anymore. I know WoW didn’t do anything but just the punishment of failure in this game has made we quit gaming for a long time if not forever. I’m deleting my alt account my friend gave me because I have no use for it anymore. I won’t come back this ever again. I’m sorry Alarm for tarnishing your name. Go ahead make fun of me, please. Because I’m awful gold player that couldn’t win 5 games to get to my goal. I hate this game for ruining my life, my self-esteem, and my love for gaming.

I just deleted WoW, WoW Classic, OW, the Battle.Net Launcher, and Steam. I also just sent a request to delete my alternate account. I’m done trying to waste my life on things that have hurt my life and have given me no good memories.

My friend I’m thinking of doing the same…

Honestly do it, maybe not everything like I did but definitely Overwatch. It’s just not fun, the people suck, and not worth investing time into since no one cares anymore. I tried making a push to the OWL, it’s not worth it anymore. Other games have so much more popularity. I personally just wanted to stop gaming to grow up. Seeing some of the people especially the higher ranks, show me that gamers aren’t anything good or special. That’s why starting tomorrow, I’ll go to the gym and never look back at OW. WoW, maybe since they didn’t do anything, but OW is forever gone. Nothing can win me back for either OW or OW 2.

While I understand your frustration of not reaching your goal, I still find it unfair to call everybody bad because of it. You were only in the average rank, which means your skill level is also average, so I don’t understand how you can call people in your rank bad.

Gaming is a hobby, maybe you don’t enjoy it, but me and a lot of others really do.

You could have just left it at that, but couldn’t help yourself from going on to say this…

It’s no wonder people think this…

Calling people bad when they are in the same rank as you (Gold) is actually extremely toxic. Funny how you defend toxic behavior

Rank and toxicity have nothing in common. Stop trying to make rank the focal point of every discussion just so you have a premise for talking down to people.

OP literally mentioned Ranks in his post…

Then he proceeds to blame “bad teammates and teams” for his inability to rank up.

So maybe you should stop supporting toxic behavior Mr. SkullBuzz :face_with_monocle:

It’s ok OP, do whatever makes you happy instead :slightly_smiling_face:

If you want to know what this topic is really about then it might help to read the title

If you actually mean this then I think you are right in uninstalling. Reaching a certain rank should not come at the cost of your mental health.

Good luck with your life, man. I hope it works out for you.

When I said the people suck, I didn’t mean the people in my rank. I meant the community sucks. If you read my first comment, I said I’m an awful gold player. In addition, I said I FAILED not my team failed or whatever.

As for gaming as a hobby, it’s bad for you. Sure you get the high of being good at something but it will hurt you in the end. Whether through money wasted, wasted opportunities, or physical deterioration.

This is a very one dimensional argument. While it may be bad for you (and by the sounds of it it is), it may not be bad for others.

No, it’s not. It’s bad for you if you forget that it is a hobby, which you have. If you don’t have fun, then it’s not for you but that doesn’t mean it’s bad.

Again, only if you let this happen. Don’t spend money you don’t have, don’t let it take over your life and look after yourself and it’s completely fine.

I take extended breaks from this game regularly. I’ll play a few seasons, then sit out a few seasons and play other games . This game and community is not good for your mental health . I’d argue the community’s toxicity is right up there with LoL . Blizzard is not in a good spot these days so it might be smart to take a break . Where ever your travels take you , I hope it brings you happiness.

I’m am convinced they hired a social media firm to argue talking points to death or they’re blizzard employees themselves who don’t want to take on more features.

There are A LOT of Blizzard white knights and trolls on the forums who refuse to believe the system is flawed and the community sucks . And sadly , those are the ones Blizzard listens to , because they don’t want players, they want “yes” men who will pat them on the back and tell them they are doing a good job week in and week out .

People say that about every game. In terms of toxicity OW is nowhere near as bad as LoL, and LoL doesn’t even have team voice chat…

If you look at people who game and who do not, you notice a big difference. Video games are used to attract people with issues in the real world and make them feel like they are something in a fake world. No one who is a gamer is anything other than a lost soul trying to do something to make them feel better about themselves. That’s why gaming communities are toxic, everyone that games are punks that thinks they’re hot crap for being ranked high in a video game or has the best gear set. Everyone that I know that games, and this includes myself, has next to no friends, always playing games and nothing else, and just not healthy in general. I know it might be hard to admit that but it’s the truth. We are people that cannot do something productive in the real world so we have to do it in some fantasy world. I have not played LoL nor do I intend to so idk if you saying it’s worse than OW is true but I’ll just take your word. Also, I do not see how playing something while sitting down is healthy since you’re not getting up and moving around.

This is pretty much correct. I would see gaming as quite an unhealthy Pursuit

The only reason that I play games sometimes is if I have nothing better to do with my time but it is certainly not the most productive use of time. I would even rather just be writing stuff on this forum and having a discussion rather than playing the game

Think about it. What good has ever come out of being a gamer? I would say little to none. you might say that yes in some cases you can become a streamer and earn money or we can become a professional player but there actually a very small portion of the total amount of players. most gamers never amount to that much in their gaming career.

Absolutely and that’s why I think Nintendo had the right idea with the Nintendo Wii try to get you to move your arms around a bit but maybe once we get with virtual reality sets that would allow us to move around in a real space and maybe get us to get some exercise. Also I have very much recommend getting a standing up desk so that’s a lot more healthier than sitting down all the time
