Sooooo how do you counter Ashe Dynamite?

Just played a comp game and was infuriated at the fact that the Ashe kept killing me just because she kept spamming the dynamite. I was playing Tracer. It’s either op or I just don’t know how to counter it. I think it’s the last one.

Blink away from it’s general direction? Have a D.va that can simply eat it? Have a shield that can block it?

On the side note: It felt very cheap to just see an Ashe with terrible aim spam dynamite and miss 3 shots in rapid succession to hit it. The dynamite range seems to outreach the blink range by a lot.

Have a healer?

I guess it was just me playing Tracer and being impossible to be healed by the Ana. I’m starting to accept the fact that it is just my fault.

Yes D.va can eat it while it’s midair but once it sticks to something and stops moving they can’t DM it anymore. On a side note I think that it’s a bit bugged interaction like how Moira’s orbs sometimes just passed through DM since today I had a few instances where I DM’d it and nothing happened when it was only near a surface

Sometimes it be like that but it’s worth to shoot at since you won’t probably hit anybody with it if you don’t shoot it. At that point it’s more like a zoning tool so I prefer saving it on chokepoints. Also if you try to blink through it you’ll get blasted so you’ll have to blink at any other direction except the explosion

Be close enough that she has to blow herself up as well then Recall out??

I noticed that with D.Va and it’s one of the main reasons why I feel like I can’t do anything against it. It feels like you need the entire matrix meter to run out to just eat the projectile.

I blink away from the explosion but it feels like it explodes during the last frame of the blink.

Personal opinion: Her fire damage shouldn’t do that much damage. For such a big AOE it feels like it does too much damage. I think a much more reasonable way to use it is to make the dynamite do less damage if you don’t shoot it, but it keeps the AOE. But if you shoot the dynamite it does more damage (explosion and fire) but the AOE is smaller.

Have a healer on the team. While Moira isn’t the best choice for a support, she is great for countering dynamite.

Healthpacks stop the burn effect. Any healer can outheal the damage over time.

But tracer has recall.

Any shield or wall will do. If worst come to worst, recall?

This may sound very 4Head. but usually blinking away or recalling after you get hit will get you away from dynamite. Dynamite’s radius is teeny tiny that tracer can literally just blink out of it

Any healer on your team can stop the burn, Any health pack picked up, Recall stops it. There are ways.
Is Ashe not suppose to kill you with her dynamite, like ever?
If she kills you she deserves it.
You are Tracer one of your very very few weaknesses is your low HP.

Having a lucio heals on you pretty much negates it, or a zen orb.

Dodge it with a blink or use recall if hit, beyond that try staying close to ashe because her dynamite causes self harm and just move away if she doesn’t ignite it.

It’s an extremely annoying ability that is easier to spam then the devs probably thought it’d be.

You’ll have to find a health pack to stop the burning or get a healer to hopefully heal you through it.
