Or why am I getting legitimately new people on my team/the enemy team the past week? Had a Genji tell me earlier he’s only had the game for a few days.
They’re either stomped or stomp equally as new enemies. Meanwhile I’m just kind of there between all the rank 5s to 10s.
There are a LOT of smurfs right now. And i mean i have like 2-4 each game. And there are a lot rusty folks coming back and a good deal of new players. MMR is all out of whack.
Ps: if you smurf youre a pathetic coward. Full stop.
i don’t think they have made any changes to the match maker since the quality of players has stayed the same for me (excluding those new players) but yeah i’ve noticed that there’s been a massive influx of new players over the past week or so and honestly i don’t know why…
I just walked on the point as Orisa while the enemy team was all over the place, not even near me. I capped, went to point B, pew pew. Match over. Hardly 3 minutes. Spent a minute just watching what the heckers everyone was doing. Bless the Lucio for healing my team who was still near spawn A.
Actual brand new people. The entire team. The Winston was the highest level there. The only reason why there is that much healing is because some on my team were new as well and had a run in with a Bastion. But generally, I just walked past and capped the points. lol
40s Objective time.
This is only one instance. Most of my games the past week is similar to this. Of course other times they’re clearly smurfs.
Hot damn. Ive had a few times where my low levels werent smurfs but nothing to that degree. Regardless, and this is the argument against smurfs too, you know that noob aint having fun either. Theyre gonna leave if they dont get better matches.
QP goes really wide in match making. So odds are there is another ‘you’ on the other team the rest doesn’t mater in the eyes of the match maker. It’s just seeing a team average.
I also suspect a whole lot of new accounts are not really 100% new players, even if they try to say that in game. They are either people from average SR rolling the dice again or high SR players making a new alt.
Trust me, when it’s a new player, it is 100% a new player. It’s easy to tell the difference between a smurf (and pretending to do bad) and someone who just got the game. A few days ago there was an enemy Bastion who had no idea what he was doing, and never went into turret mode. Had him on my team next fight, as Junkrat, and was constantly dead because he only knew how to fire grenades right in front of my shield.
It matters for new people who have the most miserable experience.
