He’s been consistently top 3 since ow2 release, and he’s consistently been dominating the leaderboards since season 7.
It is moronic how this hero has even gotten a single buff throughout OW2, or the fact that he hasn’t been substantially nerfed at all. It’s gotten to the point of this character’s dominance, where if you think he’s balanced, I’m going to assume you play in hair tie 3 and just dismiss it.
This is genuinely stupid. Which btw should show you how broken this hero design was in 6v6, literal solo tank design put into a double tank game. So good, that he transferred over to 5v5 seamlessly with no substantial changes to his kit and has been top 3 since the release of the game. Get this hero off the airwaves.

Sigma? But according to the forums Dva and Reinhardt are the meta tanks. What does Sigma do better than either of them outside of winning, hmmm? I bet you do not have a response to that, Buster.

Basically the only thing sigma does worse than those 2 is mobility. Mf has every single other thing possible.
- 1 second long stun? got it.
- Best shield and most flexible shield in the game? Got it.
- High damage? Got it.
- Amazing ult? Got it.
- Self sustain? Got it.
- Built in shield for his HP to regen? Got it.
- Can hit people around corners? Got it.

Man issue is that Sigma just isn’t meta on console as well as PC, Dvas meta on both so you’ll have more people complaining.
Sigmas more like just a Solid tank to us, I’ve never actually struggled with him tbh, if he beats me he beats me and it feels waayy better then losing to Mauga or a freaking pocketed Zarya, or a super buffer Orisa…

He’s not just your “standard solid tank”. A standard solid tank, doesn’t stay top 3 consistently, since the release of the game and then practically dominate the t500 leaderboard for 5 straight seasons.
Dva is also a moronic hero in her current state but it’s not even close to the scale of sigma.

Like I legitimately cannot tell you the last time I actually struggled that badly and it being attributed to “Just sigma” its usually something else thats the problem and Sigma ENHANCES the issue, but there needs to be an issue in the first place, and the Sigma still needs to be relatively good.
yep has everything pretty much, never really gets talked about, just like BAP, aoe heals, self+aoe heals, great dmg and range on that dmg, vertical mobility, effing immortality, great ult if you have an iq over 45. only thing he really is missing is accy./range heals. he never gets talked about, basically busted since launch.

Dont get me wrong Sigma is “There” but it’s legitimately just mainly dva and Mauga… and Zarya Sigma is an after thought, hes only there because hes a Solid tank in general.

The dude is literally only missing mobility. He has every single other possible thing you can want.
A hero doesn’t stay consistently top 3 the entirety of the game’s lifespan “just because he’s good”. That has never existed, and never will exist. The hero is busted.
Him being able to seamlessly transfer into 5v5 with no significant changes should’ve been the only red flag people needed to see how dumb of a hero design he is.

Again like I said legitimately only a PC thing thats why we are in cross play now weather people want to admit it or not.
He needs to be a significant issue on both.
And also losing to him isnt annoying hes counterable and can just be played around in some ways.
What makes him oppressive though? It’s not like Sigma doesn’t have counters, and his lack of mobility strengthens those counter’s ability to do their job

The fact that he is ONLY missing mobility is what makes him oppressive, he’s good at everything else.
He has one of the longest lasting stuns in the game, the best and most flexible shield in the game, great self sustain, a great ult, high damage, range. He genuinely only lacks mobility.
And that lack of mobility doesn’t make him weak to counters because he has the other things to keep him alive. I cannot count the amount of times I’ve gone against a sigma and they will go the entire game or up until the final moments of the game with 0-2 deaths. It happens consistently.
A hero does not dominate a leaderboard for 5 straight seasons, and is just considered “good”. A hero does not be top 3 for 2 years straight in his respective role, and only be considered “good”.
No. This game has not, is not, and will not ever be balanced towards console. It has always been balanced more towards PC because that is where the main game is designed around. This has always been the case.

There’s only one tank to slot and no matter what they do there’s a limited amount of synergies these tanks can play with teammates. Always gonna be a top tank that;s the best tool to win.
Sigma is strong when poke/hitscan is strong. Give hitscan the nerf they need, or rework specific points/maps to not be dominated by ranged hitscan and sigma disappears from play.
You’re also missing how he’s good against spam based heroes as well with his two mitigation abilities.
You can play Sigma against any comp on most maps and he will never be a bad pick
