Something has changed in the connection routing in the serve

Hi, it’s been like 3-5 days since something changed on the Overwatch 2 servers.
I usually play often with my friends who are in Asia, but when we play together they usually came to the European server having 248 ms, now it has changed and become 290 ms (basically it has become unplayable for gold) and vice versa it happens to me, if I go to the Tokyo server before I had about 280 ms, now I have like 350-400 ms.
So I guess something changed about the server connection routing making it worse.
Is it possible to fix this server problem?

This is going on for some time now. At the OW2 launch in EU I was sitting at around 70ms, nowadays I am at 110ms all the time. They did something since my ISP didn’t change anything and at all the other online games I have absolutely no problem with ping.

My (wild) guess is that they decreased the amount of servers available due to costs or something. I am at the verge of giving up since the game is already almost unplayable at those kind of pings.

I will tell you that if you are in Europe it is unlikely that you will receive more than +70 ms without it being your ISP. I go at around 38-40 ms and my friend who is outside Europe in Serbia I don’t think he goes at + 70 ms either.
I only get 70-90 ms if I play with mobile internet because they don’t have much coverage and perhaps my ping goes up as well as the ports which are probably not all open correctly.
Here you could try opening the ports on your router or try changing your ISP or using the cell phone network if that works better.

You might be closer to the servers than me. I am at the southern part of Greece so 70 is pretty normal here, doesn’t explain the spike to 100+ though.
