Someone explain the sr system;)

How does it work?

Do you lose the same amount of sr every time you lose?

Do you get more sr for winning?

Is skill even factored? Do I lose just as much sr as the guy who is throwing?

Why is winning the only way to climb?

Jelly just needs someone to explain it to him😁. Because right now, no matter how hard I try or how well I play, I lose the same amount of sr and can’t seem to move anywhere.

It would very much appreciated😂

If you are Diamond +, yes you lose the same amount everytime you lose. If you are not, then you got a certain amout related to your performance.
The same thing for winning.

Yes, your skill brings you more or less SR in victories. If you lost the game but you did a good job, then you’ll lose less SR. So you are not losing as much sr as throwers.

Welcome to the game, it is really frustrating. You have to do a good performance regardless you lose or win, the problem is that sometimes is really hard to do a good job when you don’t have healers/tanks or your team is just throwing the game.

See https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/overwatch/t/how-competitive-skill-rating-works-season-9/14009 for a full explainer.

It’s can get pretty complicated. See the explainer.

In diamond+, performance is not factored in. In platinum-, it is.

In diamond+, yes. In plat-, mostly yes.
