Why is he allowed to have such an enormous healthpool plus the ability to summon another few hundred on demand while he also enjoys such crazy mobility
Blizzard knows hack doesn’t exist anymore, right? What do they expect us to do let us actually wail on him long enough to tear through it all?
They expect you to go sombra/mei/ana and hard counter him everytime he engages or he literally never dies
But then people get mad when you hard counter them
So…. No one has fun.
As the opponent you either dont counter and have a miserable time with an unkillable ball.
Or you give in, are forced to counterswap and dont have fun cus you arent getting to play the heroes you want. In doing so the ball now doesnt get to have fun cus he cant play the game without being perma cc’d
This is why giga tanks are garbage design
You either dont counter and lose to an unkillable kaiju or you counter and completely make their tank useless.
No inbetween.
Hamster can be a very annoying tank when there’s no way to shut him down
Maybe the game is improved if you let annoying heroes be bad as a trade-off
Same goes for Fist, a notorious ruiner of QP matches, also embolded by the death of Hack
Can say the same to literally any tank. Hog, mauga, ram etc etc
They all can be being shot at and brush it off cus they are overstatted
Pick the best counter heroes for a ball
Support
Brig, can whip him away and break his roll momentum, also can whip him in the air while slamming to make him miss
Ana, sleep him and pray your team follow up on the target
Zen, discord and melt him
Dps
Cass, hinder stops roll and PD, FTH when he comes in close
sombra, hack while being reduced duration still stops his grapple and roll
Mei, wall him to stop his roll momentum and ice beam to slow him
bastion, just melt him with turret
Tank
Hog, hook to stun him out of grapple and roll + easy follow up for teammates
Mauga, only hero who can crit ball when hes rolling and can just melt him
Orisa, javelin to cc ball and fortify to reduce the effect of balls Knockback/up effects
Blizzard is the one restricting things, not me
I can’t unrestrict hack to shut people down for 3 seconds again, or unrestrict flashbang to stun again, only Blizzard can do that
with Stuns and Crowd Control being his main weakness, it’s sorta hard to balance him mostly due to those the above being good against everything else as well. If you make a good counter against ball, they might be too good against others if you get what i mean, hence why he is so awkward to balance and stuff.
Idk 30% damage buff when hacking ball is pretty nasty. Even if you don’t kill him (you won’t) you can drop him to like 10-15% health and if he doesn’t leave immediately he dies.
When I played support with my duo I just told him “ignore the ball he’s doing nothing” because his engage just gets shut down by whip shot and if I miss it gets lessened by health packs and inspire since his damage sucks
He doesn’t die? So what, his team is falling over because his value is negated by a single support for the most part
See I take some issue with these ‘counters’ that still require the player to have strong timing/aim/reflexes to pull off.
Its like telling people to just hit Genji with sleep when he whips out dragonblade. Maybe some people can do it reliably, but its by no means the norm
