Some stadium item ideas

Keep in mind the exact stats on these are far from perfect. I also gave them all a pretty generic name, but the real stadium items have more flavorful names. The earlier items in the list are more intended to solve existing problems with the mode while the laters ones are more there to make things more interesting, the kind of chaotic things that may be reasonable if say they were only rotated in for 1 season

Ultimate damage - 10,000 cash, +10% weapon power, while ulting, your ability power is increased by your current weapon power

  • This would make ults remain useful throughout the game in weapon power builds, while still being weaker since weapon power scales slower than ability. It would also be very strong in mixed builds which is good since mixed builds are rare. If it’s too strong, it can instead be the the ability power is increased to match the weapon power

Surge protector - 5000 cash - +25 health, Upon taking over 100 ability damage in one instance, receive 30 overhealth. 10 second cooldown

  • Basically a budget divine intervention/nebula conduit as a midgame burst damage solution. And specifically limit it to ability damage to keep snipers strong

Inoculation - 4000 cash - +25 armor, receive 10% less damage from the most recent player to eliminate you

  • A lot of times in the early rounds it’s just one soldier or genji getting like 90% of the kills on supports and this could help with that

Biotic shield (moira only) - 4000 cash, +25 armor, coalescence now does 30% more self-healing

  • The self-healing of this ult falls off to the point where it genuinely becomes dangerous in the late game. For whatever reason this was the only hero specific one I came up with

Quick-fix - 8000 cash, +30% ability power, caps your ability power to 30%

  • The concept is if it’s late in the game and you’re all in on attack power you can buy this as a cheap way to at least get some ability power and make your abilities half-decent again. I think perhaps it could be a bit more expensive but also grant a small amount of weapon power. This item would also likely have a weapon power equivalent.

Saving’s bond - 550 cash, gain 100 cash at the end of each round

  • Think it’d be good to give a little bit of a reward to those awkward midgame rounds where you can’t quite spend down but none of the 1-1.5k cash items are really worth item

Warning - we are now entering the whacky ideas territory, these are more extreme and interesting but less likely to be balanced than the others. And also the specific stats are less important here than the gimmicks

Friendship bracelet - 9000 cash - increase healing received by teammates who own friendship bracelet by 15%

  • I think it’d be cute to have teamwork items like this. The idea is hey I’m mercy and I’m with our genji a lot we should both buy friendship bracelets. The one concern though is I wouldn’t want it to be optimal for all 5 people on every team to own it

Tracking Device - 1500 cash - getting a final blow on someone reveals their ult charge

  • A bit metagamey but I could see some people wanting it in the early rounds when they don’t care for any of the other cheap items

gumball - 1000 cash, +5% weapon power, grants +2.5% weapon additional power for each round that has past, can only be used once per game

  • Think it could be a nice layer of strategy of when to pop this

IOU - 2750 cash, +10% weapon power, -500 cash per round equipped

  • a good midgame emergency power boost that comes at a cost

highlander - 11000 cash - gives the same stats as vanadium injections, but only if no other teammates own highlander

  • It’s a fun idea but I have 2 concerns: 1. It’d go on the tank every game, 2. It’d devolve into a toxic clownfest of genji begging soldier to unequip it

poker chip - 4000 cash - gives 50% reduced stats of vanadium injections, but only if no other players on either team own it

  • I think something like this would add some fun mind games and risk taking to the early game, but may be too chaotic

Quick return -12000 cash- +25 health, using an ultimate ability in spawn room will consume the ult and teleport you to the teammate nearest the objective. You cannot gain ult charge for 15 seconds after respawning

  • An alternate “I don’t care about my ult” item to vanadium injections. But the stalling may get too out of hand

Nano lite - 12000 cash- replaces your current ult with self-nanoboost but with the healing removed

  • I think this would probably be way too strong on certain heroes even with the huge cost, but may as well throw it out there

Exodia - 20000 cash- On the first round where all teammates own Exodia, receive start the round with 100% ult charge and +15% to every stadium stat

  • Okay we’ve entered straight up idiot territory now, but it would be fun and there would be a bit of strategy involved here. And obviously the name would be changed
