This piece sounds an awful lot like the music playing in Sigma’s teasers, and there’s some juicy details about the piece that are worth mentioning.
The title of the piece, “Gnossienne”, is believed to derive from the word “Gnossus” or “Knossos”, which was the place where the Minotaur resided in the Greek myth. He was a monstrous half-breed locked away in a labyrinth built by Daedalus, and later slain by Theseus.
The composer preferred words like “phonometrograph” over “musician” to describe himself, apparently thinking of himself more like a technician that transcribed sounds than an artist. His work was very experimental, and considered the first major break from French Romanticism. He did away with traditional forms and structures, and his irreverence and wit helped shape 20th-century French music.
Sigma is a Greek letter, and many people have speculated that this implies we’re finally going to get a Greek hero. We already have a Greek map, and the devs hired a Greek VA a while back that we have yet to hear from.
From the leaked headshot of Sigma, it looks like he is heavily augmented by cybernetics, and may be blind. From today’s teaser, we see a nametag that reads “Subject Sigma”, on what looks like a prisoner’s jumpsuit.
Is Sigma an experiment, half-human and half-Omnic, locked away like the Minotaur?

I thought the same thing when I saw the subject label. 90% certain dude was experimented on illegally with cybernetics and now is on a prison break.

This makes sense. With how eerie the music is it fits really well. He might be omnic and human hence why he might makes clothes for omnics.
Is it true the omnic at the end of storm rising had the sigma symbol on his head?
if so the whole hybrid thing makes sense
I hope so, I desperately need a tank that I enjoy (for role lock) and so far, based on all these teasers, he might just be the coolest hero they made as DLC. He seems really up my alley.

Nope, thats not a sigma symbol.

Rotate that image 90 degrees clockwise
Calling that a sigma when rotated is beyond an enormous stretch.

I think that’s a great theory actually! I think Sigma will be a half omnic tank. Hopefully Greek as well.
It’s still not sigma symbol dude, even if you turned it.

It is stylized, because it is a bot couture product. Rofl.

It’s a stylized, capital sigma

???
It’s highly stylized, I’ll give you that, but it totally looks like a Sigma symbol. You can’t say it’s not close.

Also i beleive Sigma is connected to Talon archaelogical interests storyline, greek mythology, Ilios, god programs, Ares on Petra (which connected to Ilios)…
Maybe he, like Sigma, is blind? Or maybe he does not know the definition of “close.” I am not sure which one is more pretentiously presumptuous, but something ain’t right.
That is close in the same way that a square is a highly stylized circle.

It may not seem like much but it what youre saying makes sense because theyve been slowly adding new little blurbs of research about unearthing the goddess statues.
I thought the same thing… it’s too heavily “stylized” imo to be a sigma.
turned on its side and changed to not actually look like a sigma
EDIT: I drew a picture of the symbol (i’m not bad at drawing), uploaded to Google Image search, along with “symbol” as the search text, and Sigma was the 2nd result.
