Sombra now has the lowest pick rate and win rate in the game. She just feels week and buggy to play now.
That 2sec cd penality literally killed her.
They should remove this bs, reintroducing ult gained from hacked packs, and maybe slighty increase her damage.
But she will need a ult nerf.
Sombra is a stealth hero., so they must of lost sight of her.
They buffed her stealth. Shes nowhere to be seen.
She needs to have her hack be an instant ability. That way it can be used in team fights and maybe increase the hack time.
The 2s cooldown is almost entirely irrelevant to her gameplay. The hack getting canceled by walking on stairs is kind of problematic, but we can play around it.
What killed Sombra was adding a character who’s in every match and spits out enough armor to prevent Sombra from dealing any meaningful damage to anything. That in turn prevents her from charging EMP in a reasonable amount of time, and often prevents teams from killing anything during EMP anyway.
Sombra and Bastion, the 2 stealth heroes (Bastion’s been here an hour, he’s just moving very slowly)
The hack time is fine it’s just the stupid los and cool down thing that screws her
Y’know…This current hack reminds me of the 1st hack to me. Like…a lot. Technically you get a benefit out of hacking…good luck trying to pull it off though. As literally everything is working against you to accomplish it.
I’ve been playing around with Sombra again after a LONG hiatus and its quite sad actually. They got the translocator in a good spot, she now has a smaller spread as before they were punishing her gun TOO much, and she doesn’t scream at people when uncloaking. This however…the LOS checks in tandem with everything else that could interupt your hack before and the 2 second cooldown on failed hacks make hacking SO ANNOYING!
You can’t even depend on EMP for a consistent hack as that’s now a harder ability to grasp. I dunno what they were thinking with this one. (I actually do and will now explain.)
See, I didn’t FULLY hate all these changes. Y’see I’m a Doomfist main and I could tell she’d be strong and ultimately feared in the higher ranks. Especially due to how important abilities are to characters like mine. People were getting annoyed at my ranks <.< and it wasn’t even that bad. Individually, each would and could have fixed Sombra’s potential strength and quelled the freaking sea of crybabies whilst keeping her in a decent spot…the issue lies in the fact that they SLAMMED her with EVERY POSSIBLE NERF they could think of to her hack. Which…makes it worse. Her gun used to suffer from similar problems. There was NO reason that her spread and her falloff had to be so TERRIBLE at the same time. It was overkill for the sake of it. The amount of caution Blizzard exudes really hurts as they take 9 years to fix ANYTHING that’s bad. Remember Hog!?
The nerfs feed into each other too much. One makes the other EVEN WORSE.
Classic. I like my cookies like I like overwatch. SALTY.
Pretty sure I messed up that saying.
You got close enough…
Feels bad… I can’t do anything right
Honestly I just want a slow, consistent hack, with a minor damage threshold. Wouldn’t even need to be as quick as pre-buff if they added the damage threshold.
Build 1
0.9 seconds
0.1 LoS check reinstated
15hp damage threshold
2 second penalty cooldown if damage or stun interupted
Build 2
0.75 seconds
0.05 LoS check
15hp damage threshold
Full 8 second penalty cooldown if damage or stun interrupted.
Either of those would be great. Hack becomes more reliable, and trash damage doesn’t affect it anymore, but the reward for stopping her is greater.
Both versions would be worse than her old hack.
these problems were there before brigitte… like brigitte didnt help, but shes not what killed her
EMP-now disables active ults
Stealth-infinite
It really wouldn’t. I have long held the view that adding a damage threshold would massively improve hack’s viability. It doesn’t affect the focus fire, but those stray bullets that always seem to hit at the worst time would no longer be an issue, meaning those who position well to take enemies by surprise are rewarded for their planning.
In all honesty, is it necessary for people to make these sort of threads? Devs have every single stat we have, and even more, available to them. Shouldn’t they ALREADY have fixed sombra?
Really, do WE have to tell them that no, she’s not in a good place? Is it normal for months to pass until an overnerf gets tuned down a bit? It doesn’t require any new art or anything.
I’m so tired of this.
Well, I don’t always play Sombra, but for me she’s okay other then a few buffs I feel like blizz should add.
If anything her damage output needs buffed some, and in my opinion at least, the hack getting forced down to 2 seconds after taking damage, is fine.
At least you aren’t forced to wait longer to hack after getting it cancelled. Plus it’s still pretty quick to get a hack off (unless I missed something)
