Sombras nerf accomplishes nothing

People complain that her insane hack speed has no counter play, but yet, they think the 2-sec delay after a failed hack will fix this…?
Wheres the logic? She already breaks off hack if you shoot her, so how is this any different? She still has stupidly fast hack speed, which is the reason why people wanted Sombra to be nerfed anyways…

All this accomplishes is making Sombra more annoying to play as if you get struck by a stray bullet. Just reduce her hack speed back to the previous patch.

She’s also losing her leniency if you break los at any point during hack it goes on cooldown

This is what I am talking about… People will still complain and it seems like people complaining story always end up changing to match the pros.

Before it was the Lucio’s being useless due to hack

Then it was the hack speed.

Next it was the hacked to passive.

Finally it was the latency of 0.1 seconds

(this is because they heard the pros saying this as many people didn’t know about this.)

I laughed, because literally Sombra with theses changes did not changed at all, literally she will still be played the same.

No, it goes on cool down if it get interrupted by damage.

EDIT: Sources.

I still don’t like that lucio is literally useless when hacked, but I can deal with that, so I don’t complain about it. The counterplay is to just not play Lucio if I’m being hacked a lot. Lucio has always been countered by Sombra due to EMP canceling sound barrier; it makes sense.

What doesn’t make sense is that I spin 180 with a rein shield up, block a hack, and it still goes through, leaving me a fat, melee only target in front of everybody.

This was, until Geoff’s post, what I thought was latency, or a bug. But no, it was a feature, and I’m happy that it’s being removed.

This is what I been saying all long. I mean if you truly think about it… before these changes who was a hard-countered to Lucio ? This just means that Sombra is his first HARD-COUNTERED hero.

Well, you have to worry no more because the great Sombra’s will still wreck as nothing changed :revolving_hearts: I am just going keep doing what I do best with her. I just hope that the pros do not continue to complain about her as she is no where near Overpowered… and Genji and Tracer are still superior.

The problem wasn’t her being op. The problem was she was next to impossible to counterplay.

Also Winston, McCree and Torbjorn are all pretty good counters to Lucio.

This is interesting. Will it go on cooldown if it’s interrupted by something other than damage?

Sure it does.

It proves that the .001% of the players and the people who scream and stomp their feet the loudest get what they want.

No, only damage related sources. (This applies stuns and even boop) since they inflict damage.

Not necessarily mate :revolving_hearts:

Well, now she has a ‘counter play to hack’

Wow you clearly didn’t read the patchnotes. While the 2 second CD nerf is nice to get rid of bad sombra players, nobody cares too much for it ( except coalescencing Moiras).

We all wanted that LoS adjustment that we got. That’s what makes me keep the hold on the sombra topic. I’ll wait ti see how it feels before complaining again and maybe not even beeding complaining.

People honestly think lots of Sombra players hold down RMB and wait until the target eventually miss enough for the hack to go through.

People honestly think that’s a good way to play Sombra, and that it’s a problem.

Honestly.

i think every low fire rate orclose range hero will be very happy with these changes. Landing a shot and having a very small window to land another shot due to low fire rate sucks (Ana for example). Rein blocking a hack only to get hacked through a shield sucks.

It’s qol changes for other players really.
