So here’s another not fair moment. I’m a Brigitte main and every time sombra hacks me i can’t use my shield which is cool whatever’s. Apparently I can’t lift up my shield. But how is it fair that when widowmaker gets hacked she can zoom in to snipe??? Wtf? She should be able to do anything just like everyone else!!! Fix this blizzard!!

Because widowmaker’s scope isn’t an ability, it’s her gun.

Because Widowmaker’s scope is dependant on her weapon whereas other heroes have entirely separate abilities for their M2, such as a shield in Brigitte’s case.
This is the same reason why Moira can still heal/damage and Mercy can damage boost.

Brigitte is dependable on her shield and so is rein??? So does that make sense for me not being able to lift my shield up but she can zoom in on her scope??? If sombra hacks you, you shouldn’t be able to do anything except fire your main weapon.

Pretty sure Ashe and Ana can still scope while hacked as well, it is normal

It would make sense if she couldn’t shield bash since it’s an ability, lifting the shield for protection is not an ability. Same thing with zooming in on her scope it’s not an ability it’s a to kill faster.
Her shield is an ability. It literally has an ability icon in the bottom right of the screen and goes on a cooldown when it’s destroyed.
Widows scoping mechanism is not an ability. It’s a different mode of her primary fire, much like how hog can still use his right click or McCree can use FTH.

That’s not what I meant by that statement. Hack is expected to disable all abilities tied to a key press and not affect the hero’s weapon. Scoping is the alternate firing mechanism of her gun.
Well, when sombra hacks McCree and soldier, they forget how to roll/run. I wonder if her hack is actually some kind of amnesia, so the character doesn’t know how to do that action until they regain their memories.
This game doesn’t make any sense if we start looking for things like this.

Its just her gun. Basically a secondary fire, it doesnt count as an ability.

most of widows abilities are lackluster. mine is meh its really only used for a tripwire and her grappling hook is her only escape on a long cool down. her gun and 1 shot capability is all she has, staple of being a sniper easy to dive on and kill but has potential to hold a site lane especially if you never miss shots
