Sombra suggestions to balance stealth

New passive for Sombra “sneaky hacker”.

  • All of Sombras footsteps are only audible at 10% of the normal volume.

Example. If i play OW2 at 50 audio volume. I can hear her footsteps only as if i would play on 5 volume.

Stealth

  • no longer silences footsteps

That gives opponents a chance to figure out that they are being stalked by an invisible Sombra, if shes close enough and they pay attention.

Nah. One of the reasons I play Overwatch instead of CS or Valorant is that I don’t have to destroy my hearing just to know what there is to know.

It’s always tricky. I understand the thought that it was unfair to be killed by Sombra while your healers were asleep. But on the other hand, there’s nothing more frustrating than being pulled out of invisibility because someone could see or hear you.

The idea itself is extremely good, but it would be necessary to ensure that players couldn’t just adjust their sound settings to hear Sombra’s footsteps well.

Also, Sombra is currently (as usual) very weak in comparison. This would mean that your nerf would need to be balanced elsewhere.

Audible footsteps in stealth/invisibility will no longer be interrupted by damage.

Thanks for at least offering a creative solution instead of just whining about her in yet another thread.

The idea is that it will be very hard to hear at all during a brawl on point, while it will be more realistic when you just come from spawn and makes spawn camping harder.
