Sombra Nerf Suggestion from a Longtime Sombra Main

Hello. I’ve been a Sombra main since Season 3 and have experienced how she played throughout a variety of changes. I think there’s a simple nerf that will keep hack’s current, more-useful form while reducing the constant annoyance that playing against an enemy Sombra can cause.

Hack originally had a cooldown of 12s. This was very annoying at the time, as it often meant choosing between hacking a given health pack or having Hack available to use on an enemy. I was quite pleased when they reduced it to 8s, since at the time hacked Health Packs were vital to Sombra play.

Now that pack-hacking has been reduced in importance, I believe reverting Hack’s cooldown to 12s would be a reasonable response to the community’s displeasure with Sombra’s current state.

I am thrilled that my teammates are no longer complaining in spawn when I choose the character I have around 140 hours on. But I understand that Hack is currently too oppressive. Increasing its cooldown by 50% should help people feel like they have more breathing room against Sombra.

I’d rather we didn’t.

I’m ok with all the buffs except hacking passives like lucio and Pharah. Why did we need to nerf some heroes to buff just one? All other buffs for Sombra were great. Definitely makes me keep an eye out for her. But with passive hacks, I don’t even want to play Pharah. Hacking a Pharah already made her lose all mobility. Her passive was already slow and did not allow for escape. A Sombra who could aim could still take her out after hacking. Now Pharah drops to her death. No reason to play her anymore.
