Attention Jeff Kaplan.
I play Xbox one X Overwatch. I only have about 167 hours on Sombra. There’s so much frustration that comes along with playing her, although I adore the character.
The new changes are nice, but I don’t think it’s enough.
Have you guys ever explored letting Sombra’s hack do a little damage? Like 50 points feedback damage? Or even her alt doing a bit of feedback damage to everyone caught in it?
Any chance we could get a notification when our translocator is destroyed? Speaking of which, have you ever thought about the translocator also being offensive? Like a grenade that does some burst/area damage when it’s destroyed?
She needs a little boost. Thank-you!

She will never get a damage buff because they don’t want her to be able to effectively kill anyone. Being able to uncloak and murder someone is “unfun”.

How about a larger clip or faster reload time then?
Maybe let the team see her opportunist info also?

I would like sombra to reload on translocation and emp.
I would also like to see sombra deal more damage on hacked enemies, but only in the form of an enhanced crit multiplier. Like, her headshots deal more damage on a hacked enemy.
Also a damage boost on coming out of stealth for 3 seconds or so.
Just my thoughts anyways

That still falls in the category of damage buff.
It’s unlikely that we will see more bullet damage, a tighter spread, a faster reload, a larger clip, or anything else remotely related to Sombra doing more damage in even the most miniscule of ways.
There are probably a lot of things they could do without focusing on damage, but it would have to mostly be minor QoL stuff like the oft-requested sugar skull icon on a hacked target.

Increase damage from 8 to 9 per pellet.

Reduce Spread by another 10%

Stealth isn’t that big of a deal when Widow and Honzo are in every match, and all I see is “detected”.
A lot of times I scout a kill, come out of stealth, hack, damage target (feed their ult), and trans away because I can’t finish the kill. I get that I shouldn’t be able to kill everyone, but it doesn’t feel fair playing Sombra with that method, only not to kill a Zen or other support.
There is no way Sombra is inline with the other DPS heroes.
But that’s exactly what McCree does with his combo (and yes, that’s so unfun). And you can’t even try to counter it, while a Sombra’s attack is totally counterable.

Being one shot by Hanzo, Widow, Doomfist, Zenyata, Roadhog, Reaper, Soldier, Lucio (boop), Pharah (boop), & Junkrat is “unfun” too.

I really prefer being attacked by a Sombra, and be able to defend myself (even if my abilities are disabled), than being OS by an sniper or a ‘combo’ like McCree’s one or Junkrat’s one.

She’s always my first choice to nano-boost if the enemy has a lot of tanks.She just melts them.And they’re hard to miss.Otherwise she sucks

This is really holding her back when she really is important the actual fighting. Sure scouting and hacking a target is very influential but at some point things have to die and unless your attacking tanks her spread holds back her already minimal dps far too much.

If you’re planning on replying anything similar about her damage, I’ll just save you the trouble. I know. I know. I know. I’m not the person that needs to be convinced. I’m already convinced. I’m aggravated, irritated, frustrated, and all around ated (Google didn’t catch that as a typo? What the heck does “ated” mean? To the dictionary!) about Sombra’s lack of damage, lack of use, lack of everything.

Well I’m with you brother! I adore Sombra, but most games I’m sure I could have helped the team more by playing any other hero. I hate feeling that way!

I just spent my last game hacking a bastion about 5 times, only to never be able to finish him in a 1v1 because that armor reduces my already pitiful damage even further…
