Compared to her previous reworks, this is the least annoying one.

She’s not overpowered but her kit is extremely anti fun for everyone that’s not Sombra. Invisibility should never be in a game like OW

Idk, I feel like the amount of damage she can output is pretty insane. Particularly against supports. Though Season 9 seems to be messing with HP values and maybe also headshot multiplier (be it outright lowering it or adding fall off to it.)
If one or both of these things happen she might be less problematic. As the issue for me really isn’t her utility but that unless you’re playing specific supports it feels too hard to fight back.
Need? No, but can you debate for one? I think so.
The only reason to do so would be to reduce the friction between playing against her.
The rework she just got was good but from the perspective of game health. Her core design is still flawed. Wether or not it’s worth the dev time/resources to fix that is up in the air. Personally I’d rather see other heros get addressed (in terms of core design) because I feel like Sombra’s is the least problematic. It’s frustrating but salvagable.

It’s the most annoying one. This level of lethality + permanent invis is awful to play against.

She needs a rework away from permanent invis or a revert so she’s not as lethal.
Playing against someone who is permanently invisible and can one shot you isn’t fun to play against. She makes you play the game in incredibly reactive and unenjoyable ways.
Mostly because people pick her as a revenge hero. A “you beat me so I’m going to make sure you don’t have fun” and they normally get super toxic in chat too.

widow and hanzo are far more unfair, anti-fun and in need of serious nerfs… to you sombra haters… would you rather get shot in the face from half across the map or have a log hurled at your head? both have exactly 0% of you surviving it while at least you have chance or surviving sombra.
if sombra picks you off so often maybe you need to look over your playstyle, where you position yourself and maybe work a bit on your aim.

Yes! I can bob and weave against them and at least I know where they’re at and can play accordingly. But that’s just me personally. Other heroes having bad designs doesn’t mean that another can’t. One shot snipers just like stealth characters are notoriously hard to design in interactive ways.

Absolutely, yes. I signed up for an FPS game, so getting shot by a sniper feels perfectly reasonable. Getting harassed by an invisible hero who also removes your abilities, on the other hand…
