Several matches in the last two days were a Sombra just hangs back at the enemies base cherry picking stragglers. By the time you get turned around to shot them you had hacked and dead.

With the new wave respawn, it’s much less common to be spawning alone unless you were the only one to die during that time frame. I’m guessing you were the one getting camped and your team just ignored you?

Shes a coward and strikes when she KNOWS she will win wich feels bad. You need to change to paranoia playstyle wich is never fun. Or u need to swap. Who wants this? No one. Stop defending this toxic hero

I think Sombra is overrated. Not OP, just annoying. People hate her because she punishes bad positioning, bad situational awareness and bad team coordination.
That being said, i mostly play Kiriko these days, and she is very good against sombra, so i can understand why other heroes mains find her unfair, and OP.

Its not about being OP, but many people confuse “being extremely annoying to the point you want to leave the game” with “OP” (like the thread creator).
Sombra is objectively a mid hero at best, but even if she plays terrible, she manages to make people more mad people than a GM Tracer smurf in silver.
Thats the issue.

Sombra is a skill check.
If you have good aim, reflexes, and game sense you out maneuver her or force her into a bad position with your team to get a kill.
If you got excellent skills you can juke her and kill her when she tries to run.
I’ve fragged her when she tried to spawn camp me as Zenyatta. This was before his buff. Killed her and once she understood I can aim and track she never attempted to hack again.
Sombra can be annoying but she’s predictable and high risk high reward against team work.
Just practice. You get enough reps in and you’ll get better at punishing her.
Then that particular Sombra is not a real Sombra player lol. You’d be dead if they were any good.

I’ve been playing fps all my life.
Sombra ain’t my first invisible flanker rodeo in a shooter.
And I play other games where just frame input reactions to perfect defense or cancel into a sweeter combo.
Ow 2 ain’t that demanding on the reflexes like other games.
And that even me boasting because that the bare minimal, not the crazy pro reaction speed and read time.
Sombra has made the game un-fun.

You might have discovered how to play dps correctly
This is what you’re supposed to do as sombra! She is generally underpowered, but if your team isn’t working together or familiar with the strategies, you’re going to get mad or get sombranoia, and that’s more valuable than actual dps/kills.

I had an enemy Sombra the other day that just ran around using the “boop” and “You’re not alone in here” voice lines. They did almost nothing the entire game except play mind games. Basically it was a 5v4 for all intents and purposes.

that still kinda helps in some ways it may not be getting elims but making the team paranoid for a few min has its advantages. Eventually however psychological warfare only lasts a short while then they need to step it up or swap
Who woulda thought a hero who can go invisible and wait for the perfect moment, paired with high burst damage, would be problematic?

She is the “exploit weaknesses” chararacter. Not powerful really, since she has to use almost all her abilities for a single solo kill. But, extremely annoying when having to confront your own or your teams flaws. In these flaws is her only actual power.
The flaw: selected Zenyatta on hero select screen?
