She’s not particularly good. I think people find her annoying, partly since she punishes teams who don’t peel or stick somewhat close to each other.

Devs already said she had a terrible winrate masters+ while performing well at lower ranks. Maybe trust what the devs say instead of relying on third party sites?

If you are the useless dps in your team if you pick sombra you will become useful immediately purely by existence.
Cause more pressure than your actual skill.
Which is why she has high pr.
Bad design low skill high value zero feedback for bad play.
It’s not about winning or losing but the amount of crutch this hero gives to players for free.

His complaint that some heroes’ skill floor is way too high is valid and one of the worst things about this game. Difficulty correlates directly to how consistent you will be at something. Consistency translates to being effective.
If I tell you to take a basketball from center counter and shoot it into a hoop, then give your friend the same task, only from directly next to the hoop. At the end tally the shots and declare your friend the winner - you’d point out it’s really not fair to ask you to do something WAY HARDER and then equate the two tasks at the end…right?
This is what happens when you put two heroes in a “competitive” situation and you make one hero’s job orders of magnitude easier than the other. The skill gap required to generate value becomes ridiculous and the encounter feels like doo doo to play into.
He’s not complaining he cannot kill Sombra, but that the value she generates is out of step with the effort/skill required.

Dude she’s countered by peel. If you are so low skilled you can’t peel then play torb or sym and the turrets can be set up to be the peel. Again this is only needed because your brain can’t peel. And if you can peel then hit shots. She’s required to hit hack, virus, and bullets to secure kills while you play hanzo and one tap spam people in chokes. Screaming “I’m so skilled”

Peel is not counter it’s teamplay that applies to all heroes.
Either way that’s not the point it’s the free value she gets.
I don’t need peels myself, I do peel for supports like zen ana the point is she demands that with zero work that a genji or tracer put into to demand that attention.
She doesn’t need to good sombra’s don’t hack just virus and shoot it’s faster, hacking actually gives time to react.
But no one asks you to do that. Players choose to do that when picking high skill floor characters. I don’t think this analogy works.
Some jobs require more skill than others, and not always even with a higher pay off. And yet people will still choose to put in the time and effort to not only learn to do those jobs but do them well despite their difficulty. This is closer to what picking certain heroes is like.

What’s free about using your entire kit to secure one kill? Again hanzo can use just primary fire alone to secure kills. With storm arrow being another single way to secure kills. Sombra has to use her entire kit. So sombra uses her whole kit and kills slower. Yet she’s low skill high value even though other heroes kill faster and have more value. Get over it. You’re annoyed and that’s all this is.

She has to do 90 damage to get a kill on a 200hp target. So what you mean is she’s countered by your supports constantly having their head on a swivel

Someone playing Kiriko and devoting most of their time to tp’ing in to ruin her dives. The only other hero remotely mobile enough is Lucio and he doesn’t have the healing to cut through her damage. Half the time I kill the Sombra but the dive target is dead anyway.
This leaves us with playing Kiriko. I hate playing Kiriko and if I don’t Sombra constantly trades out for anything on my team that has 200hp.

Her kit has too much reward for how little effort it takes.
I meant if Sombra players have skills they would have played Tracer instead.

I don’t see the problem with this.
You are vastly underestimating the space she can create, just a sombra means the ana won’t take off angle.
Being able to land a virus straight out of invisibility is a huge advantage no other hero has.
Then you can secure the kill or getaway.
It’s not even you kill but outright you are playing against 90 hp targets, if you do a bit of basic stuff right.
