Yeah the ‘‘it’s unfun, remove it!’’ brigade should be ashamed of themselves, their constant whining has reduced the game to the boring, soulless pile of crap it is today.
Sombra in OW with her hack presented an interesting unique challenge different from the rest of the cast.
When I’m on support, I’d rather go against a Sombra than a Widowmaker, Sojourn, or Cass.
At least you can literally negate anything that Sombra can do easily.
If she’s the most anti-fun hero for you, I shutter to think what you think of other flankers who actually do what she does, only they’re actually effective at it lol
I understand it even if I think Sombra is somewhat underpowered. Sombra and widow are different in that Sombra can choose her target without any complications. There are few Sombra players but most Sombra players I’ve met usually harass only one target all the time and it seems they don’t care the team wins or not. Also, she always attacks and you always defend and little chance to kill her.(One of the best survivability in the game in addition to the infinite stealth.) It’s completely possible that you feel humiliated even if your team won the game.

You don’t hate sombra, you hate dueling, if you don’t want to duel someone stay with your team
6 second hack sombra just would not work in 5v5. Imagine playing doom or ball against that.
The idea of silences in ability based games needs to die off. Who had the bright idea of creating a character that defeats the purpose of playing an ability based shooter?
It seems to me any hero that demands you to have awareness, positioning, reaction confidence, one that applies pressure in peeling your attention out of tunnel visioning a “brawl” style fight (be it a hitscan one or actual brawl) gets seriously hated on.
Any hero that requires you to look away from the immediate fight in front of you is apparently the worst thing to happen since the awp.
Kind of sad to me, that any hero that enforces increased awareness is deemed as unfun, when in reality people just want to be lazy.
Probabaly the same one that thought powerful “i win” buttons were good.
So tracer lol shes is the only high level viable flanker
Tracer, D.Va, Winston, etc. are all flankers. Not just DPS flankers.

It’s like Moira, give and take. Sombra doesn’t just keep pushing out damage, same way Mei doesn’t. Mei controls areas of the map, Sombra controls a specific hero in a short time window. You want to play against Sombra? Then get off the heroes like Doom, Ball, Tracer and Genji. You can easily poke her out and spy check her with Mei, Sym, Torb, etc.
Sombra used to be a high risk high reward character. High risk, because going in for the hack requires you to go visible. High reward because the hack was really useful. Now shes low risk low reward. Low risk because she can just stay invisible like a little wuss. Low reward because the hack is just an inconvenience. Now sombra is a bad character, who is unfun to play as, and unfun to play against
I have always seen two types of strategies: united groups and solitary groups. Sombra… is the answer to those who act at a distance from the group. you use it when enemy supports stay happily away from the battlefield behind their teammates (ana is a great example, but so do zenyatta and baptiste), you use it when widows or genjis assault your team while staying completely osli from the group. and especially you use it when there are enemy tanks that rely entirely on the assault with immediate escape to reach their support (doomfist and wreckign ball)
sombra is an “evil” needed to unlock situations where enemies remain scattered throughout the map but retain their synergy. Sombra is needed to disrupt the enemy team’s state balance.
But Sombra… she’s not very good all the time. Not in all situations, at least, and I think today he manages to demonstrate this kind of balance. in too compact groups she loses her value.
I’d go back to 5 second lockout any day but I think most non-Sombra players would disagree.
I have fun playing her 
Mei is one of my most played heroes. As is McCree who is minimally effected by the hack to begin with. Ultimately; it doesn’t matter if you can play against it. It is not a fun mechanic. I would literally rather lose a game against anyone else than win against a Sombra. It is frustrating to the point where if she was more common of a pick I quite literally would not play the game at all.
You know what else is anti-fun or annoying to play against?
Hanzo’s one shotting you from across the map, up close makes it even more likely to hit. It’s already been proven that hitboxes are abnormally large in this game and here recently there has been a surge of Hanzo’s.
Kiriko’s headshot damage with the Kunai. Again, massive hitboxes help her hit massive damage easily. There’s almost always a Kiriko in every game I play.
Kiriko’s Suzu, which cancels out every status effect, including hack.
Junkrat’s high damage and high reward for mindlessly spamming. Anytime one team is losing, you can almost guarantee they’re going to switch to Junkrat.
Mercy after they gave her this buff that makes it hard af to kill someone she’s pocketing.
Pharah shooting high damage rockets from the sky. No one ever shoots her.
Cassidy’s sticky grenade can one-shot a Sombra and it seeks out enemies.
I do see people whining about Widow too though I don’t see many good Widows.
Now where does Sombra fit on this list? Because I rarely see her played as is. Even rarer though are Sombra’s that are actually good. So I’m confused as to why you felt the need to make this whiny thread about a character that no one really plays because pretty much everyone agrees she’s the worst character in the game. Annoying? Sure, but more annoying than the rest?
