I love the new Sombra changes, I feel like I’m having a lot of fun playing as Sombra. But I have a suggestion. I feel like whenever I want to hack a health pack, I have to go out of invisibility, hack it, and then wait 6 seconds to go back into invisibility, which really takes me out of the fight. So I think that Sombra should be at least able to hack health packs while invisible, so she can get into the fight quicker, and still keep her stealth up. I don’t know if this change would be balanced, so I would like other people’s opinions. Tell me what you think, but please just be constructive and not mean
If it’s restricted to health packs I think it would be fine. Hacking enemies while invisible is op however.
They need to reduce the delay on entering/exiting imo.
It just makes her gameplay too slow, especially combined with the speed nerf while invis.
Of course it would be, which is exactly why I would want it only on health packs.

This community just likes to whine about characters that don’t fit in the meta.
But what if… she was revealed when she was hacking the health pack, like she would be when she is detected?
If that is the case then she’d might as well be visible.
Yea but the idea is that it makes it so she doesn’t have to wait for the 6 second cooldown to end to go back into stealth.
I think the decloak needs to stay. Without it the opponent can’t react at all. There are also ways to work around it. Decloaking before Translocating will allow you to hack, emp or shoot right out of Translocator.
I said less delay, not no delay.
Even so, I think Blizzard wouldn’t do it.
Me personally, I’d prefer hacked enemies to take more damage. It can work like a discord orb and apply to the whole team, or Sombra only. You would have to be smart about what targets you hack and it would help her secure kills more easily.
They said they don’t envision her as an assassin but that just sounds stupid and makes it clear that they don’t know what they are doing. If you give her invisibility, a teleport, and the ability to see low-health enemies through walls, that makes her an assassin.
The whole “disrupting” thing is nonexistant, except for EMP. “Disrupting” to me is just going in the backline and poking at people. That is feeding the healers ult charge.
It goes even further when they talk about making her a “scout”. What is the point of being a “scout” when the entire team can see where the enemy team is going and what their composition is?
.7 sec isn’t that long, reduce it by how much I guess? With latency and whatnot how much can you cut off before the opponent is not able to react accordingly?
I like the idea of making it like a discord orb, I always feel like Sombra can never follow up on her own hacks because of her mediocre damage for a DPS hero.
I only suggest this because Blizzard does not want to change her gun. They refuse to besides the one time that they reduced her spread (which just so happened to be in the patch right before she was nerfed)
I’d say reduce it down to 0.5 seconds and see if that feels fine.
And don’t say that ‘well 0.2 seconds isn’t going to make much of a difference’, because look at 0.15 did to her hack.
That would be OP with no counterplay, but it would be nice if they removed or reduced her stealth delays, especially with the lowered movement speed.
That would be super powerful. I think they want Sombra to just be efficient at initiating a pick. That’s why she pairs well with other flankers. Right now she is struggling because of heroes like Brigitte. Tracer and Genji (Sombra’s best dps pairs) are also super weak against Brigitte.
If Brigitte sees less play, expect Sombra to get much better. If Hammond becomes important in the meta Sombra will be the best answer to him. I think if Sombra’s damage is too high she will become a must-pick. Sombra is just really difficult to balance, and it’s shown with all the changes she has been getting.
She doesn’t have to do ALOT of damage, just a slightly bigger amount than what she is doing now. Too many times there is someone with literally 1 health but I can’t finish them off.
That is unreliable, especially for someone who is supposed to be in the damage category.
I’m sure they have looked into it. I’m not sure how far they can push that envelope though. It would definitely help her flow of actions.
I would take the “Categories” with a grain of salt. Sombra has arguably some of the best utility and mobility in the game. She really needs teamwork to be optimal. If Sombra could just erase someone instantly she would become a huge problem.
I also consider her gun on the weaker side, but that is supposed to be her weakness compared to other damage heroes. If they buff her damage they need to be very careful.
