Hey I think we can all do this reasonably, this isn’t to complain about the nerf, this is to just say where we’ve had trouble with the new LOS checks with hack.
I for 1 have had major issues with hack instantly going off on another enemy when the person I was about to hack leaves my los.
The bike rack on Route 66 blocks my los when I can still see the enemy through the holes in it and my hand and their upper body is still like completely unblocked by the rack.
The stairs on Anubis b also have randomly canceled my hack.
These seem like bugs and should be fixed. Anyone else have some?

I’ve also had Hack just randomly disconnect mid-cast. No damage interruption or LoS break it just… breaks. Despite me clearly looking at my target and tracking them.
I really am upset these changes didn’t go through PTR before hitting live. They probably only did this so the pros wouldn’t cry about Sombra in the next stage of OWL. The problem is, they are hardly a percentage of the players getting affected by this.

I mean, I’m not great, but i wrecked with her today still. Like, I don’t think I played a comp game with less than 40 hack
Edit: what I’m trying to say here is that she doesn’t have to be useless to probsbly deserve some qol buffs

From what i can tell, it’s been there the whole time, they’re probably aware of this and allowed the spam as a workaround.

I originally saved that because it switched targets mid hack (Something that actually happens a lot in crowded fights), and replaying it in slow motion showed that there are actually three separate hacks in there. The game had lost lock and forgets who was originally getting hacked.
So in normal time, you’d think you just had a really long hack, but your hack had actually cancelled and retried several times.

This one hacked the healthpack, lost lock, the chevrons stayed on the healthpack, but the hack apparently couldn’t find it when it retried and the nearest hackable object it can find was Ana

Now it got nerfed and is no longer spammable, so rather than retrying, it just stops.

One of the things that really don’t feel right is the way hack works from certain ranges. On Anubis for example, I was going to try to hack the enemy orisa. I was behind her at the back of the point(in the crevice thingy!) and she had her back turned to me at a little before the front of the point. This must have been less than 15 meters because I could hack. She takes 1 step forward and it was canceled. I don’t know if this is a bug but the hard line on fifteen meters seems like it’s either too strict, or a little bad
