Sombra gets nerfed again on PTR

I mean, you can still focus down the unarmored heroes, and hacking is still remarkably valuable. Sombra’s best at taking down the backline anyway, so you should be dealing with squishies all day.

Yes, because dealing with 1 or 2 squishes against 6 people is always a good idea.

Only to be punished for bad positioning due to the translocator nerf.

So which is it?

Nerf our escape to prevent us from saving face against bad positioning, or advocate bad positioning 1v6 then complain that Sombra is a throw pick?

So does the burst damage(walk back from spawn simulator rinse and repeat) aswell as cc heaven

Its more like
Devs: How can we make it look like we buffed Sombra without actually buffing her?

You… don’t just blindly engage the entire enemy team from behind… You pick your moment during the fight, wait for distractions, play smart. And when you can’t do that, you should be busy making a nuisance of yourself. Cheeky hacks, keeping relevant healthpacks locked down, just making life easier for your team.

Tell that to the people complaining why you stay to long in stealth with you “sombra picks moment” heck people asking sombra’s to switch

By definition that makes Sombra a throw pick. 5 on 6 fight for the team.

That is the reason they did this:

But guess what it changed nothing.

As soon as you come out of stealth, the entire enemy team peels to help the healer, now 1v6

Oops Translocate is on CD

Oops Bad positioning Sombra deserves to die

Report Sombra for throwing…

Rinse and repeat.

The armor buff is meant for reaper not for sombra KEKW

The armor buff affects everyone not just reaper.

And if sombra did the damage reaper does, Sombra mains wouldn’t complaining about all the nerfs.

Not but It mostly targets reaper.

Armor effects more than just 1 hero. You dont change a general mechanic to balance one hero and take all other heroes impacted as colleteral damage.

Well no, you don’t just sit and wait either. You should never be waiting to act. That should all be going on in your head as you’re playing.

No but tank players were complaining and whining about reaper a lot recently, and he’s the one that gets affected a lot by the armor buff.
I’m not saying it doesn’t affect other heroes, but reaper is the biggest target.
And logically It’s a buff to torb’s overload, brig’s armorpack and rally armor.

What if there just aren’t any good moments you won’t be able to do anything because sombra’s damage is pretty trash

why they haven’t put her on support yet is a complete mystery

If Reaper is the problem, you adjust Reaper and dont change a general gameplay mechanic.

Alright give reaper a buff by ignoring the armor buff and still dealing -3 per each pellet.
Oh wait, you don’t want to ? But you said It’s a general gameplay mechanic.

No, of course not, let just try to tweek hack and translocator again. And again. And again. 48th time the charm?
Even Fitzy has been for a change to her reload.

As it turns out the middle ground between keeping her viable in the normal game without ‘oppressing’ the professional tournament scenes is razor thin.

Thats the difference between old and new armor. Reaper actually doesnt get hurt alot by it.

Any moment you don’t have the enemy’s attention is a moment to get behind them or pull hacks to help the teamfight. But that’s actually a fine point you made. Some of the strongest Sombra play is a good mix between support and backline harassment. If you try to play her like Soldier, you won’t get any value.
