Sombra enables Tracer and Genji more than she counters them

Sombra shuts down the heroes that are supposed to stop Genji/Tracer/dive heroes more than she counters Genji/Tracer/dive. Please stop saying she counters them, because it’s more often that she makes their jobs easier.

We have only 6 hero slots for one team, not 26.

In payload maps where Tanks are mostly stationary and Supports are concentrated in the back (behind the tanks), maybe. On Attack maps like Nepal where everyone fights on or around the center, Tracer and Genji are the first targets.

I only see Sombra mains claim this.
I don’t play a massive amount of Genji on my main, and I can’t speak for him.
But I ‘main’ Tracer and I notice the enemy Sombra hurting our tanks/healers way more than myself. I also find a Sombra on the team makes cleaning up targets and rinsing tanks a piece of cake.
I find I am one of the least effected. She just helps out with dive.

But she does counter them… Lmao. Sombra also counters herself too!

And what heroes are supposed to counter dive exactly??? Dive has been strong for several seasons already, so these “counters” arent really doing the job right… :eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes:

I literally love having sombra on my team as tracer. She hacks I melt their health bars. And when I get hacked by an enemy sombra it’s usually when I’m taking a side rout to the enemy backline so I can usually deal with sombra and wait out the hack time unless she’s camping a health pack or has help

What heroes are these and how is she shutting them down more?

Roadhog, Orisa, McCree, Ana, Lucio, (soon) Brigitte, etc. She disables abilities that are good at stopping flankers.

Lucio and Ana counter Tracer and Genji now? Tell me you are joking.

Not counter, but have ways to avoid/defend themselves. Ana moreso for dive tanks with sleep dart, but a good grenade can give her and her team time to deal with them, do some easy damage, and stop them from getting zen/ana heals or a healthpack. Lucio can push them away, get away quickly, and speedboost his team to make them harder to kill.

I know right?
“They have a Genji/Tracer. Someone go Lucio/Ana” said no one ever.

I could have sworn heroes like Winston, Moira, Sym, and even Mei to an extent, were counters to Genji/Tracer. And as far as I’m aware Syms the only one that’s really countered by Sombra because she’s Sym.

Like I said, I’m not saying they counter them, just that they have better ways of dealing with them than other heroes which Sombra disables. That’s why I put them at the end of the list. You’re really focusing on this one part and ignoring the rest for some reason.

You literally just said they counter Genji and Tracer. Those were your words.

I said stop, not counter. And again, you’re literally ignoring everything else to fixate on one thing.

Enlighten me then: What’s the difference between ‘stop’ and ‘counter’?
How can you stop something but not counter it?

And I’m going to fixate on it because you’ve made a claim and I want you to explain it.

They have abilities that make it harder for flankers to be effective, but don’t completely negate their efforts alone.

You didn’t answer my question: What is the difference between stop and counter?

I literally just answered it.

No you didn’t.

Making something harder doesn’t stop something. Making something harder means they are still capable of doing something.
There is a huge difference in saying “Ana stops Genji/Tracer/dive”
and “Ana makes it harder for Genji/Tracer/dive”
If she stopped them, they can’t do it. Is she makes things harder, they can still do it.

Therefore you didn’t explain what the difference was between stop and counter.

At this point you’re not even arguing what I’m saying, just the specific wording. Fine, she makes it harder for them to be effective, and Sombra stops her from doing so. Happy?
