Before the hates starts i’m no genji or tracer main. Now i play in a team environment we might not be pros but we enjoy the game in a competitive matter. we scrim 3 times a week we even participate frequently on lan parties and online tourneys. and in the team environment sombra breaks the game. it’s ridiculous in what way she counters almost every support tank and most of the dps, how crazy OP she is. it’s no fun to play the game with her since her hack, emp and her survivability is just broke in every possible way.

its nearly impossible to prevent her from hacking and her translocator makes her frkn impossible to punish. and on top of that she has stealth and she has wallhack on low life targets. emp is almost 100% a won team fight and you only need one ult. not only that if you are hacked u cant even counter ult to keep team alive. lucio can not heal anymore at all. zen is left with 50 hp. overall its super frustrating to play against her.

i know many of you don’t believe me but i’m certain that as soon as she arrives at the OWL pro will prove me right and all you will hear in matchmaking is “we need a sombra or its gg”

I can remember how blizz once stated that in futur balancing they want to take smaller steps while buffing so they do not overbuff a hero. It was back when they first started to make changes on sombra. then mercy 2.0 happened and now sombra 2.0. and we all know how terrible mercy 2.0 was and how unsatisfied many mercy players are with her now because she just isn’t longer what she used to be.

I really don’t understand why blizz would do so drastic changes and ignore what is said on PTR forums. i t feels like they simply ignore inputs and just test it for themselves not taking into count what the community thinks and reports. i’m really disappointed and i feel ignore tbh i don’t even know why i write this. because i feel like it will be ignored as any other thread regarding this topic.
At the current state i wouldn’t recommend blizzard games at all to any of my friends. this is how frustrated i am with blizz.

when did they reworked any hero and they succeeded the first time. we have a “mercy” situation all over again.

I’m replying because I don’t want this thread to be forgotten and I want to know what people think of it.
I haven’t had many problems with Sombras (mind you I’m bronze, thinks that should work don’t work down here, that’s why you can win with 5 supports and 1 tank). BUT I have been in deathmatch, and I have played against good sombras and oh boy are they annoying. they hack you so fast you can’t even turn around, and if you do turn around in time, you can’t kill them because hey, teleportation is a thing. So they basically never die. never. Ever. With one tiny press of a button they’re safe.
and let’s not even start on EMP. It’s basically gg. And with how fast it builds, you just lose every fight. What’s that? Your team has ult advantage? All 6 players have ult? Well they don’t anymore. Ez clap bois, that one EMP renderes everyone USELESS. Even passives, even freaking WALL CLIMB. Like, no pun intended, but if somebody was hacker, and hacked into the game to make it so they’d win 90% of the time, that person would be a sombra player.
Blizz, make it so her teleporter has range. If you go too far you can’t come back.
That’s fairly easy to implement, and would have a big impact

look up: Your Overwatch on YouTube and watch their latest video. Sombra isn’t OP, no one is used to her being in the game. Is Pharah OP because she forces rein, doom, and reaper to switch? no. When they run Sombra you get off heroes that rely on their abilities. Heroes like Roadhog, Winston, Orisa, Reaper, McCree, Mercy, Moira all deal with her. Though they need to revert the lucio music nerf with the hack. It causes him to be to useless with how passive he already is. A good Tracer/Genji will make it a challenge to hack them, lucio plays so passively it’s too easy.

Also: TORBJORN. His Turret is amazing against her.
