[Solution] 222vs321 AND que times

Someone might have already said this…
But I think I thought of a solution for the polarizing opinions on 321 vs 222
and the solution would help with dps que times (really all que times).

Just like how you can que for multiple roles
select if you’d like to que for 321/222/both

-Personally, I’ve read how some people really enjoy solo tanking (I for one, don’t tank but actually love solo-tanking - especially with the 3-2-1-only tank-buffs and another tank not contradicting me) So some can keep going solo or some can continue to duo tank because they prefer that or some don’t mind either so they can click both.

-Dps going into a 2-dps or 3-dps game would be shortened overall ques because all players queing would be included (not just people queing exp card or people queing for qp) and for the most part, I don’t think dps-only-players would really mind which game they get into. They just want to play.

-Because typically, a lot of people go to support if the dps ques are too long, the people who secretly want to dps will leave the support que making that time shorter. And the people playing support who play support as intended don’t have to deal with trying to solo heal when the other support turns dps.

and anyone who likes it one way or another doesn’t have to check that box.

The point is, the pool of available players in que is increased.
Normally most of this pool is taken up by people who want to play dps. Normally for 4 dps to get a game, they have to wait on 4 tanks as well.

If we give the option of both play modes,
Then you introduce people [like me] who typically play dps and support but also enjoy solo tanking, making it possible to also que for tank under 321 option
or people who don’t mind either quing for tank in either option.
and support who don’t mind one way or the other queing for both.

meaning MM has more options to pick from when trying to get dps into a match.

I just don’t think it should go to an arcade mode because
arcade mode is on a separate page / in a separate player pool (slimming the amount of availability for MM to pick from - making arcade ques long and dps qp ques long) I don’t play a lot of arcade games because honestly, if I’m gonna wait in que that long - I wanna play a normal game as dps!

While that is an intriguing idea, the queue times would be completely awful. No healer would queue for 1-2-3.

I did earlier today and I thought it was fine. Honestly just as chaotic as another other qp with an off tank.

oh no no no im talking QP ONLY. I’ll make sure to add that in.
I don’t think 3-2-1 would be good for comp just because throwers ect. right now 222 in comp is good because in every role there’s someone to pick up slack.

Do people in comp community actually want this change? I haven’t heard a single high rated player say they support it and everyone in my discord of players all 3k+ sr don’t support it.

I play a lot of comp and I love 321 but I do not think they should mix.
(I’m not a high rated player tho lol)
I feel like que times shouldn’t play that much of a role in comp (I know it’s different for higher ranks and something should be done about that but I don’t think whatever it is should trickle down through all ranks). I know personally, even playing dps, I’d much rather wait 10-20mins for a match if it means it’ll be more even mmr-wise. [and I’ve seen a lot of other posts saying this as well]

I saw few who like it, its as kaplan said, some will like it, some hate it. 1 3 2 has way too many issues to be good as comp mode.

Honestly I kinda like it’s issues. I like that it’s more chaotic for everyone. I don’t think that should be the core game mode. But it’s like an arcade game. I just don’t want/think it should go to an arcade mode because

I am a healer main and I love 3-2-1 :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

But I don’t mind 2-2-2 either…
