Solo queueing and wide matches

Solo queueing into a wide match is not possible. Why have I as a plat 5 tank been put into 2 games with a match range of silver 1-plat 5 today and had to lose 40% rank because of silver dps? My role is already useless and insufferable as is.

I don’t think you have because

Are you a tank? They’re match dictating raid bosses at most ranks now. Try playing one like Mauga and just shredding lobbies whilst being unkillable.

That’s not a game issue that’s just your playing. If you’re a Plat 1 being matched with silvers and you AREN’T crushing, then that’s on you.

If you think playing a role is useless or not fun to play but keep playing it anyway, then that’s on you.

And if after THIS LONG you still don’t understand that lobbies can go from silver 1 - plat 5 in rank range (a VERY normal rank gap for a lobby), then that’s on you.

If you can see the pattern here…

That is a difference from 29th percentile to 56th percentile in overall skill. Just because it’s true doesn’t make it ok.

If solo queuers can’t play in wide groups then why does the matchmaker force you into random lobbies that would otherwise be considered a wide group in terms of skill range?

Until you hit high masters every game will nearly always be one person costing one team or the other the game. When ranges like s4-p2 and g3 - d5 etc exist it’ll never be a skill based matchmaking. One guy that clearly doesn’t belong there will cost the game, he will get cursed out by one team and laughed at by the other and he will feel crappy about it. Same as when I as a M2 get dropped into a plat 1 game and dunk on people and people start screaming at me, I didn’t ask to be put in that game, I’m not going to play bad just because I ended up there.

Lmao still forgetting that that is an incredibly NORMAL skill range for games? Not just for OW :joy:

No, it’s not. There are hard limits in other games. Let’s not copium because you like this game.

Copium? Like blaming the rest of your team and the match making system for any and all losses you take? Or never taking accountability?

Let’s not get our feelings hurt over a video game with very basic rank ranges because you lost a match.

Has anyone ever done this? What if some losses are your fault but others are not?

That’s life. Sometimes it’s your fault, sometimes it isn’t.

The trick with ow is not to blame others, and work on what you could have done in either situation. Control the controllable.

Lmao the key here is ITS A GAME :joy: if you loose a few games it really does not matter THAT much.

And okay. So when you have the lowest stats on the team for a losing match by a slim margin you want all your teammates to come into the forums and complain about you?
