Solo Queue Mode for Competitive

Here’s an idea: Solo Queue mode for competitive. You go into to each match randomly grouped at each time.

People really think they’re good, when it’s really just your team and the chemistry. Let’s take that all away and see how you good really are at and being alone and randomly grouped up for EVERY match like the players that solo queue.

I don’t think splitting the community up even more is a good idea.

On the contrary I think it’s a great idea. Split comp into so many categories that it’s going to feel like a MMR reset because now the population is so small bronzies and T500’s can play with each other.

Queue times would fluctuate alot since a big part of the community will only go to one… so one is left with less players and the other is left with more.

If you’re solo queue’ing i can definetly say that a Bronze isn’t on the skill of a Top500 and vice versa. Would ruin queue times in some ways so imo it’s not the best idea.

But that’s what everyone wants right? Hard MMR reset, so we give it to them by forcing bad players to play with the top players. So that neither party is happy with the quality of matches at all. The best idea.

Even if they want that, it shouldn’t be done.

It’s not like the players are ever going to learn from their mistakes. Let the game be a prime example of why the community should never be allowed to run a game.

Yeah ruin a game because a part of the community doesn’t think well about balance changes, smart idea.

Rather make a game yourself made for that purpose, not transform this game into utter trash.

I agree but it is also not fun being in an all solo group vs a 6 stack group. How do I know? Because in Open Queue it has happened quite often because you can see who is grouped so there is no doubt in my mind it is happening a lot on Role Queue as well. That is why Blizzard hid it there so people can’t see they are going to lose off the bat on a 6 stack vs all solo match.

I wish there was a queue just for solo players or even solo/duos is fine.

You do know that the game has been screwed over by the community because the playerbase decided it’s a good idea to cry rather than learn right? It all began with the genji nerfs. Ever since then, we’ve gotten to the point where single plays are no longer relevant. This decreases solo carry capability and increases reliance on teammates, this now also increases complaints about teammates being throwers.

Don’t get the wrong idea, I’m with you on your post. I’m just saying that they might as well do it because they’ve succumbed to every other conplaint. They’ve gone for every “vocal minority” wanted change and every change, people still find something to complain about. Let this game go in history as the prime example of how to let the community ruin a game.

So you’re saying it’s the community faults for making a team-game more team-based…?

This is probably where we disagree. I believe it was team based enough back in the day. The problem was that people were less skilled so that the next best solution was to nerf what they couldn’t deal with. Players now would have no issues with what would be considered OP back then. The issue that I feel is that they can’t go back because the community would babyrage.

I don’t think the game is any more team based than what it was before. There’s less impact on a singular player and as such bred its own breed of comp is awful because team threads.

They already do.

No, not everyone wants that.

It already is such an example.

No, it got screwed over because Blizzard allowed players to have more than one account and some took that ball and ran with it to the point where the game is now so infested with smurf/alt/whatever you want to call them accounts that its past the point of being able to save the game.

Overwatch 2 will be just more of the same since player progress carries over, so all the smurf/alt/whatever accounts will be carried over to Overwatch 2 and ruin that game as well.

But there are 10M monthly players!? That’s such a large, active population that it could easily withstand binning solos vs. solos.

Whether people want it or not, it is entirely needed.

You have a better chance ranking up through solo queue than grouping up anyway.

That’s fair enough, though i remember Blizzard saying their matchmaker tries to solo players together as much as possible… though of course alot of things play in this so it can always be different of course.

Even so if it might become too team based i think splitting up the community still isn’t a good thing.

Monthly players aren’t impressive at all.

You ain’t confusing it though it still contains good info.

It absolutely is not.

There’s already a huge problem with high ranks ruining matches in lower ranks on smurf accounts. All a MMR reset would do is exacerbate that problem.

I am confused as to why it System pinged me?

Edit: ffs your named System XDDDDDD
