I am curious how they can make Sojourn better
for lower ranks without her taking over higher ranks. They just really need to stop giving railgun buffs and just flesh out the rest of the kit instead.
I’d say the problem is more problematic than Sojourn. There’s far too many players - teams of players - intentionally throwing games.
Tbh sojourn is’t that much of an issue when she isnt pocketed by mercy.
Soj will forever be a problem as long as mercy can pocket people sadly.
No, soj alone is already a probem. With mercy, the problem is just getting bigger. This problem aside, I just hope that they fix cheater problem in japanese server.
It used to be that Ashe could one-shot with the aid of Mercy blue beam. It was obnoxious. People complained and so the devs eventually removed it. Ashe complaints dropped off dramatically. Ever since then, Ashe has still been strong, even when she wasn’t meta. Mercy’s ability to pocket DPS didn’t need to be altered.
If Sojourn can’t be changed in a similar vein to Ashe, then that’s a design problem with Sojourn, not Mercy.

Yes, definitely a Mercy problem
It’s really just the 50 extra energy perk that they need to nerf.
Sojourn is dominating picks in lower ranks too. I’m gold/plat and she is everywhere. They don’t need to make her better her, they need to nerf her.
I can look to top 500 in S14 right now and see 15 mercy’s in top 250. I’m having to look at the players with Mercy as their 2nd and 3rd most played characters to get that 15 total. Last season was not a Mercy Meta AT all.
There are 32 Sojourn sightings in the top 50 of last season. Let us remember, Sojourn is the problem here. Its only Sojourn being so powerful that Mercy can even be considered viable alternative to other supports for a change.
Season 15 is absolutely no different from last season even with Perk changes. There is hardly any Mercy to be seen in top 500 while Ana, Lucio, Brig, Kiriko, Kuno are whipping the floor with representation.
Literally take away the railgun headshot. That’s it, that’s all they gotta do.
Taking away charge from shooting non-player things would help too
They just HAD to let her headshot on rail, and everything on her kit is tuned around facilitating its existence.
It’s legitimately a fun kit otherwise, and having a primary similar to the Nail and Plasma Guns of older shooters is actually unique. Just get rid of the headshot on rail and everything else can fall into place from there.

It’s actually ana’s nano boost + sojourn’s overcharge perk that’s kinda busted. Because with these two combined, sojourn can body tap almost any squishy and get insta kill.
It’s a bit like having the Operator in Valorant but being able to shoot via hipfire rather than ADS/scoped-in.
Though I wouldn’t say it’s the nano boost that’s the problem though in this case, since nano boost isn’t really a problem with every other ultimate.
They could however nerf nano boost exclusively for sojourn so that she can’t 1 body tap any squishy to get an easy kill when she ults with the overcharged perk with nano boost.
It actually comes down to a skill issue on your end if you let her do that.
I for example learned to ruin my lobby myself.
Objectively incorrect
Remove her from the game.
Look on the bright side though once they nerf her she’ll be meta with mercy damage boost. So even after the nerf you still have several more weeks of her.

worst is going against the pocketed sojourns. impossible to kill her without a teammate helping you with the dive. meanwhile you’re just feeding rails.
