Are the devs even playing the game?

I think they do in-house testing, but they’re bad at Soj, Ana, Ashe, Soldier, Cass, Genji, etc., so they think those heroes need to be that strong to be effective at all.

For some reason the devs think hero pickrates are just “PoPULarItY” despite us being able to track pickrates almost perfectly against nerfs/buffs all the way back to OW1. Everyone except the devs seems to understand this.

Since projectile buffs i believe we had Cass, Ashe as top2 dogs for majority of the time with soj and gengu trailing just behind. I wouldn’t get my hopes up for shaking it up, they love their midrange hitscan deleters
When making up numbers, should have gone all the way to 99.9%. Maybe even 100. But jokes aside, it’s the best dps and probably the 4th best behind tracer or genji. Top 5 anyways, regardless of where someone ranks the other ones. Of course the strong heroes are going to be picked a lot, happened in every role in every meta.

Sojourn and ashe in most games since last season lol… Pharah when the one team is losing.
I honestly was surprised why none of them got any nerfs lol. But I guess its better then widow.
It’s also unplayable without one shots because woohoo! boosted hp pools are still in the game even though they are objectively awful!

So funny how some people are discovering for the first time ever that some hero’s will be stronger in certain patches and metas. I remember my first time playing games too
Sojourns kit overall is just poor design… they need to nerf the range on her rail gun or disable its ability to critical
Almost like all heroes that have some specialty are thrown in the dumpster and the only way to get anything done on DPS is choosing burst broken heroes.

Like I said before, there will always be a favored hero type in every meta. Or were you not around when heros like Ashe and soj weren’t at the top pick rate and everyone was crying about the hero’s who were. Congrats on learning what an in game meta is
The dps role has been nothing but the same 4 heroes cycling in and out of S tier for years now. Occasionally another hero will manage to be up there as well but they’re always inevitably hard nerfed while the usual 4 carry on with slaps on the wrist.

Do you know what another name for what those cycles you just described are? Changes in the games meta and balance and it happens after literally every patch. Happened with cass, maug, DVA, Brig, Ana, Sombra, Kiri, etc. And based on how strong those hero’s were it influence the pick rate of other hero’s too. Happens in literally every game that has balancing
If it’s only ever the same 4 dps heroes it’s not about meta. It’s about those 4 heroes being overpowered.

Because that’s is what the meta is at your level. I know that takes some thinking but I have faith you can do it
Someone’s going to be the best. I much prefer that it’s a straightforward character like Sojourn or Ashe instead of a frustrating fun-ruining character like Genji, Sombra or Widow.

Where the hell do you get these stats?
Overbuff is unusable, and the only thing I notice is a 100% pickrate for Ana.
