After downloading the Halloween patch on Switch I try to enter the game but everytime I try I get a message saying “The software was closed because an error occurred.”

same, you can always bet if they patch the game it will break the game.

Same here, completely unable to access the game after updating on the Switch
Guys I had the very same issue post-update and got fixed by uninstalling then re-installing the game
(I know that it consumes a lot of time but it’s the fix I had, sorry)
