I don’t know if anyone else has noticed this but pretty much from my experience (Gold all the way to Diamond) there are people soft inting in almost every single game. People who could care less what everyone else is playing, what they are playing, or how they are playing. It’s making competitive so casual it’s unreal.

Emphasis on Soft. They aren’t doing it intentionally (either that or you just think that they’re soft inting). I don’t really see what you hope to accomplish by making a forum thread about it.

Inting is intentionally feeding the enemy team. It’s another way of saying that someone is giving the enemy ult charge.

Soft and hard inting are both still intentional. If your goal is to queue into competitive and play what you want to play, not care how badly you perform, and/or not support a competitive comms, you are effectively inting. This is what we are talking about. Obviously it’s not to be confused with hard inting but realistically they’re just as bad for a competitive setting. And as for posting about it? It’s important to discuss the good with the bad in all formats. I don’t see why we wouldn’t want to talk about it.

Inting doesn’t just have to be your team feeding on purpose. Hard inting can be: Jumping off the map on purpose, blocking your team, purposely afking, dying on purpose, etc. Soft inting is more so players who will play alongside you but they aren’t trying to support the competitive nature of the game as a whole and are typically more sneaky with their inting. They might purposefully switch to someone they know is being countered and die repeatedly and not care at all. The playback might just show someone that doesn’t know what they’re doing but soft inters know that they are hindering the team, but simply don’t care.

Pretty sure I played with Sook on my alt the other day.
(I do know the players name was Sook)
He went bastion and had no awareness of where our sheilds were.
So by what his logic seems to be I can accuse him of Soft inting.
“inting” = intentionally feeding the other team. Sooooooooooooo this is just a new, more specific, form of the word “throwing”?

Why not call it feeding, then?
Also, this game is much less impacted by feeding than MOBAs. Unless it is a beefy tank that is feeding 600 ult charge (plus healing) per life.

Which is why I find hilarious when some players say that people are feeding with 200 HP heroes like Torb or Sym. If you want to feed intentionally, there is no better option than Hog. 900 HP of ult charge to the enemy, and because you are a tank, you are supposed to be in the frontline anyway. D.va and Wrecking Ball are close seconds.

I mean that’s what happens when you tell someone who has been playing the role of damage since Season 2 almost exclusively and has ranked up multiple times that they are being greedy and self centered because they didn’t lock a damage hero first and should tank or heal (a role they are not confident in) lmao.
But the guys with private profiles that probably have an E/D of 1 and negative winrates as Ashe and McCree are OK because they locked in first.
Like lol all people do is whine about their medals when their DPS would have them if they followed up but end up with them instead because they just think it’s not their problem if you die and think they will win by letting too many fatal mistakes go unpunished.
What is inting??? Is it just playing casually?
A genji constantly poking with shurikens, a soldier getting people low but not killing them, etc all feed a lot of support ult charge. It’s not their 200ho that feeds, it’s their easily healed damage that does.
