So you put credits in events now?

Even though they’re still close to if not completely useless for a decent chunk of the playerbase? Didn’t they say they’d add new uses for them like months ago?

They did. Yet veteran players are still basically not getting any good, free rewards. Most free items given are legacy items we already have in our collections, and, as you stated, credits are basically useless for us, so who knows, perhaps they’re still thinking about it.

Just odd how difficult it seems to be to figure out how to reward their most loyal and committed playerbase. You’d think it’d be pretty easy to find a way to show appreciation to the people that kept their game populated during the hardest and bleakest of times.

they could easily implement achievements of sorts that grant you coins, especially if they count retroactively (e.g. “collect 5 legendary skins” or whatever) like they do in genshin etc.

I don’t play that and not sure what you mean, but just off the top of my head, these are things they can do to reward loyal players.

  • Allow credits to be converted to coins (3k credits = 1k coins or something along those lines)
  • Reward coins for any “free reward” skins that are already owned (like lootbox duplicates used to)
  • Reward coins for every 10 battlepass tiers completed after 200.

basically there could be a catalog of achievements that grant a minor amount of coins, with some of them tailored so that veteran players will already have finished them.
collectible achievements, hours played on heroes, etc.

Some people never learn. It is like they want the old players to quit or something.

Like who the heck even cares about legacy currency or giving away skins that people already own?
