Who in the fuc**** world asked for that you get a -75% XP for 6 Matches when leaving a Deathmatch Match (those you can que for while searching ranked) like WTF? you could always leave QM or Deathmatch because people could easily rejoin… maybe for QM I get it but not for Deathmatch wtf?

If you mean arcade, in FFA there was no rejoin, when to many people leave it close down that was it.

I mean when you either enter a Deathmatch via the Quickplay tab or via the ranked que thing

I’m not sure I get it. You mean you got an XP penalty because you’re joining DM while queuing for comp and once it finds you a game the system automatically boots you out of the DM and into your comp game?

Or are you unhappy that you get the XP penalty because you leave DM willingly?

I was playing some DM while in Comp. que, then I left the DM because I had to do something while waiting for Comp. Match.

this was seriously never a problem in Overwatch 2

but yeah forgot we are playing Overwatch 0.5 now.

I think that’s because DM is now out of arcade and into the unranked category, on even grounds with QP. So it gets the same penalties leaving QP would get you.

I always play some deathmatch from the ‘while you wait’ tab when I’m in queue and have never had this -XP penalty when I get taken out and put into my comp match.

I feel like this isn’t the whole story.

Nah you dont got it. I did not got thrown into the match. As I stated further down below I left the DM Match myself to wait in the main lobby for my Ranked match while I had to do something in real life. → and as I said leaving DM was never a problem because you dont even have a team you leave alone or anything so why give XP penalty.

Edit: Yeah its probably because it counts as Quickmatch now. somehow dumb and yet one of another unasked and unnessacary changes

Ah, gotcha. Yeah pretty stupid to put a penalty on the most casual of casual modes.

Yeah I mean they even give you that warning “when you leave the match you can get a penatly”. I just thought that may be a bugged message because it wasnt like this before and left anyway.
