So will we be getting DLSS or not

I think it really needs it in order for the frame rate to be better

Still don’t know what it stands for and my comp is still in the “even if it could do it I would probably turn it off” category

OW2 has FSR. It is not DLSS, but it is better than nothing.

It’s pretty unfortunate that the capabilities of modern cards are being ignored. Granted, OW runs well, but I felt that the game was not yet optimized in either beta. In fact, I felt like Beta 2 ran worse than Beta 1, not sure why but it felt just less smooth. Given when the game code was probably first started being developed, it was probably around 2011-2-2012… so not surprising.

OW runs well until a teamfights. I run OW at 144 fps (130~140) then it goes down to 90 or less in teamfights. I play in low (even if I can put it all ultra) because of this.

I can confirm this - I too run (on my laptop) at 144hz - unless you turn of quite a few settings forget anything like stable frame rates. 1080p, I use Nvidia Reflex, and Gsync (I don’t mind a bit of input lag) and even on a 2070 mobile you can’t stabliize it. Now, it’s not just a problem of weak laptop cards - my desktop with 8700K OC’d, and 3080 Ti water-cooled only targeting 120 hz 1440p even with no scaling, at Epic dives on teamfights. I mean this just shows lack of optimizations no matter what.
