I feel like someone should answer this question cause it’s rare but I see it sometimes.
Cause the matchmaker isn’t stupid, the answer is literally that simple, the matchmaker isn’t an idiot, why of course a group of randoms is just that a group of randoms sometimes coordinated sometimes not and your obviously in a stack because you want coordination and you know you can absolutely dominate the enemy team, if you just had team work, coordination, and coms.
Your first mistake was assuming the matchmaker was dumb enough to make this auto win situation a reality.
If your in a 5 stack your “Most likely” for the most part fighting another 5 stack.
The matchmaker obviously has it’s issues and problems that still need to be ironed out, but blatent stupidity isn’t one of them.
If you 5 stack your not fighting that trash team of solos your “Garbage” team couldn’t beat when you were solo queing…

No one complained about the duo queue mmr adjustment League of Legends had for like 15 years, why are people rubbed raw about an equivalent system in OW?
It’s mainly us solo quers, I don’t know much about League of legends.
But when we solo quers get duos or well like 3 and up groups as a solo que players it’s REALLLY not a fun experience… And that’s being generous.
The matchmaker also likes to use us as “Balancers” so 9-10 well end up in games we just straight up don’t belong in eith our ENTIRE TEAM underperforming and it expecting us to “Carry” like Im sorry but a gold in a diamond game dosen’t deserve to win that game in any merit.
Thank god they implemented this new wide and narrow group thing.
I don’t have one OW friend, much less 4. Don’t have the time to sit in queue.
I don’t mind facing stacks as a solo. I’ve come to enjoy the solo queue life.

Facing them is the easy part, well it depends on how the matchmaker feels that day.
at least those 5 stacks no longer have a master level player thrown in with a bunch of silvers (according to their rank anyway) since theyll be labeled a wide group and you cant solo queue into that match
