I mean if you really want to add Incentives to play specific roles should it not at least be the event loot box as well? I keep getting normal ones

There’s been a thousand posts about this and the answer is the same; They’re basic loot boxes because they don’t want people to only play 1 game a day to get a loot box for free without working for it

But it’s very random when it’s available. It’s not like they offer a box for a role all day long. It was bit stingy they made it normal box.

They want to give incentive to a role, but not too much incentive? Seems fishy.
Plus is there really a threat of people just playing for that one box per day? I doubt that would even happen, but so what? How is that detrimental in any way?

I mean I basically do that.
Some people also drink their own pee, but is it really enough to warrant not having an event box as a reward?
You’d think that, but before experience was changed people would actually stop playing for WEEKS if they were about to prestige before an event to farm boxes

Staying within the context of having a loot box, I’d say keeping a regular one isn’t justified nor would it change behavior in a negative way.
I mean I wouldn’t say no to it becoming an event box. Blizzard, however, seems to think that it will reduce loot box sales.
It’s been like this since PTR.
Most likely because they don’t want you farming around 21 lootboxes just picking a role and throwing because you get one daily just for completing a match, win or lose
Going to have to assume they have enough data to warrant it, just seems iffy, is all.
But you can do exactly that now if you wanted to, just not with a event lootbox.

They most likely don’t want you getting 21 event boxes for doing nothing, because why would anyone spend money buying them if they’re desperate for a specific skin they cant afford?
But you are doing something. And if that was honestly that big of a deal, why can you do it with a non-event box since it still has the potential to drop something useful to someone.
Because this event is once a year, meaning there is a time limit before you have to wait an entire year.
Because of that event specific loot boxes are more valuable, and you can’t give 21 away for nothing if you want people to buy into a time crunch.
It’s why they changed how leveling worked because people would stop playing once they were about to hit lvl 1 again and grind up easy event boxes.
